What if I need more dice of a colour than the game contains?
The official Rules Reference Guide states this.

Roll what you have, record the result, reroll the same dice, and combine the results. This does not count as a reroll. Tokens aren't limited (use a substitute), but if you run out of cards of a type you can't draw more.
