Can weapon abilities or modifications be used on the melee part of Close and Personal?
No. The melee attack uses its own fixed attack pool, so abilities printed on the hero's weapons do not apply to it. Mandatory text on equipment such as a Vibrobayonet, however, still applies to the melee part.
