Deployment Card Restrictions
Some Deployment cards can be used in only one style of play in Imperial Assault. A Deployment card marked with a Campaign Deployment Icon can be used only in a campaign, while a Deployment card marked with a Skirmish Deployment Icon can be used only in a skirmish.
Neutral Deployment Cards
Deployment cards with a Neutral Icon and card back do not belong to an affiliation. When creating an army for a skirmish, a player may choose to include Neutral Deployment cards as if they belonged to their affiliation. Neutral Deployment cards cannot be used in a campaign.
Power Tokens
Various cards and abilities in Tyrants of Lothal allow figures to gain power tokens. These tokens represent a variety of things that increase a unit's effectiveness in battle, from enhanced armaments to affinity with the Force.
When a figure with a power token declares an attack or is declared as the target of an attack, that figure may discard one of its power tokens. If it does, apply +1 of the symbol on that token to that attack's results. For example, if a figure spent a damage power token, that figure's player would apply +1 damage to the defense results.
(Printed caption: "A power token showing a damage symbol.")
When an ability instructs a figure to gain a specific power token, that figure's player claims one token of that type from the supply and places it either near that figure on the board or on that figure's deployment card or hero sheet if that figure is the only figure in its group. When an ability instructs a player to gain any number of power tokens of their choice, that player gains that number of power tokens of their choice. Power tokens are not limited by components. If players run out of a token type, they should use a suitable replacement, like a coin.
Each figure cannot have more than two total power tokens. If a figure would gain more than two, its player must choose tokens to discard until the figure has two. A figure cannot use more than one power token per attack.
Re-Draw
Some Command cards have ability text that allows a player to re-draw it. Re-draw abilities are active while the card is in the discard pile. When a player re-draws a Command card, they take that card from their discard pile and place it in their hand. That card may be played again normally.
Spectre Allies
During the Tyrants of Lothal campaign, the Rebel players will be prompted to bring a Spectre ally. Spectre allies are those allies with "Spectre" or "Chopper" as part of its sub-name.
During campaign setup, when the hero players are choosing green Side Missions, they may choose more than one mission that rewards "Any 1 Spectre ally."

Mission Briefing
You wade through the damp jungle around you, looking up in awe at the treetop constructions that serve as the Wookiees' homes. As you approach the coordinates of the Imperial outpost threatening the captive Wookiees' families, a shout and a blaster bolt breaks your reverie, and you turn to face your attackers.
- Neutral mission tokens represent rope ladders. Spaces with rope ladders are difficult terrain.
- Rebel mission tokens represent Wookiees. A Rebel figure adjacent to a Wookiee can spend 2 movement points to claim it.
- When a hero withdraws, he is incapacitated instead. When activating he receives only 1 action and can only use that action to perform a move.
- When all 4 Wookiees have been claimed and all heroes are on the extraction zone, the heroes are extracted.
- The mission ends at the end of Round 6, when all heroes are wounded, or when the heroes are extracted.
Imperial Thugs
At the end of Round 1:
- Increase threat by the threat level and resolve an optional deployment to the black point.
Overkill
The first time a Rebel figure enters a space with a rope ladder:
- Deploy the reserved E-Web Engineer to a yellow point. The E-Web Engineer gains 2 movement points.
Escape Route
When the first Wookiee is claimed:
The Wookiee roars in appreciation and relief. He directs you to a series of ropes cleverly hidden in the trees.
- Place a blue Imperial mission token on each blue point and a red Imperial mission token on each red point.
- Imperial mission tokens represent rope bridges. Figures can move between spaces with rope bridges of the same color as though the spaces were adjacent.
Cut Off
When all Wookiees have been claimed:
- Deploy the reserved Death Trooper to the Extraction Zone. This is the Sentry Trooper.
- Apply additional Health to the Sentry Trooper equal to the threat level.
- The heroes cannot be extracted while the Sentry Trooper is on the Extraction Zone.
End of Mission
When the heroes are extracted:
With the Empire repulsed, the Wookiee families lead you in a traditional local celebration ritual. You hasten to signal that the prisoners' families are safe.
- If playing as a side mission, heroes receive 1 Spectre ally of their choice as an ally.
- If playing a Tyrants of Lothal expanded mini campaign, resolve the "Liberators" Epilogue card.
At the end of Round 6 or when all heroes are wounded:
With blaster bolts whizzing past you and the Imperial numbers continuing to swell, you are forced to abandon your mission. The prisoners, and their families, remain in jeopardy.
- The Imperial player gains 2 influence.
- If playing a Tyrants of Lothal expanded mini campaign, resolve the "Lay Low" Epilogue card.
Additional Rewards
- Each player receives 1 XP. Heroes receive 100 credits per hero. The Imperial player receives 1 influence.
Skirmish Mission: Devaron Garrison
The Devaron Garrison skirmish map is printed on the sheet. The map requires the Tyrants of Lothal expansion. The two Skirmish Mission cards use this map.
