Components and Integration

This pack provides the General Weiss, Field Commander plastic figure that can be used to replace his villain token when playing a mission. The figure can also be assembled as an AT-ST (see "Component List" on page 2 of the Learn to Play booklet in the Core Game). The other components in this expansion are incorporated as follows:

  • Add the General Weiss and AT-ST Deployment cards to the supply of Deployment cards.
  • The Imperial player can choose the "The General's Scheme" Agenda set when building his Agenda deck at the start of a campaign.
  • Shuffle the Skirmish Mission cards into the Skirmish Mission deck. These cards use the "Imperial Research Lab" map (see below).
  • Add the Command cards to the pool of cards that a player can use to build his Command deck.

Component Breakdown

  • 1 plastic figure with parts for 2 configurations (General Weiss, AT-ST)
  • 2 Deployment cards (General Weiss, AT-ST)
  • 6 Command cards: Explosive Weaponry x2, Overrun, Heavy Armor, New Orders, Endless Reserves
  • 3 Agenda cards (The General's Scheme)
  • 2 Skirmish Mission cards (Imperial Research Lab)

Skirmish Mission: Imperial Research Lab

The Imperial Research Lab skirmish map is printed on the sheet as an image. The map layout is not transcribed; the tile list and the labelled Control Room are below.

Map tiles: [icon] 05A, 06A, 07A, 17A, 18A, 20A, 21A, 22A, 23A, 25A, 26A, 27A, 28A, 30A, 31A, 35A (2), 36A (2), 39A (2)

Control Room: 22A (marked on the map)

Mission A: Stolen Schematics

This small research facility was once the workplace of some of the finest Imperial scientists and engineers. Now, after poor design and wiring began to cause problems for experiments, it lies abandoned in the middle of the forest.

You have learned, however, that data for schematics was left behind in the lab's computers. These schematics show an early prototype for a highly advanced disruptor rifle the Empire has been developing for years. You rush to the facility to claim these blueprints; you dare not let them fall into the wrong hands.

The sheet prints only this briefing for Mission A. Its objectives and setup are not printed on the sheet.

Mission B: Stranded

After an intense dogfight in airspeeders, both you and your enemies were forced to land in the forest and continue the battle on foot. You try to establish contact offworld to inform your superiors of the situation and call for reinforcements, but you find that your ship's communication systems were blown out during the fight.

Fortunately, your scanners locate a facility not far away that seems to have power and communications. Investigating this facility and using its systems seems to be your strongest option, but you proceed with caution, knowing that it is probably the strongest option for your enemies as well.

The sheet prints only this briefing for Mission B. Its objectives and setup are not printed on the sheet.

Side Mission: Forest Ambush

Deployment and Setup

  • Initial Groups: Nexu, Trandoshan Hunter.
  • Reserved Groups: General Weiss (Field Commander), Imperial Officer, Probe Droid.
  • Open Groups: 3.
  • Special Setup: Increase [threat icon] by twice the threat level and resolve an optional deployment.

Map tiles: [icon] 01A, 02A, 04A, 06A, 18A (4)

Camp: 02A (marked on the map)

Event Summary

  • Round 5: End of Mission
  • Rebel figure enters Camp: Strike Team
  • Hidden supplies claimed: Extract
  • Hero with hidden supplies escapes or withdraws, or all heroes wounded: End of Mission

Mission Briefing

You move cautiously through the forest brush toward the site of the abandoned Rebel hideout. Though Alliance Intelligence assured you the raiding team has moved on, they also gave warning of vicious wildlife in the area.

  • The neutral mission tokens form a fallen tree. The fallen tree is blocking terrain. A hero can interact with the fallen tree (2 [icon]) to discard all of its tokens.
  • The red Rebel mission token represents the hidden supplies. A hero can interact with the hidden supplies ([icon]) to claim them.
  • The mission will progress when a hero claims the hidden supplies ([icon]). The mission ends at the end of Round 5 or when all heroes are wounded.

Strike Team

The first time a Rebel figure enters the Camp:

You hear a sinister voice amplified through the forest. "You cannot escape, Rebels! If you surrender willingly, we may choose to be merciful. I will not make the same promise if you run."

  • Deploy the reserved Imperial Officer and Probe Droid to the red point.
  • Deploy the reserved General Weiss to the yellow point.
  • The red deployment point is now active.

Extract

When a hero claims the hidden supplies:

  • A hero can interact with the terminal ([icon]) to call for an extraction.
  • After a hero calls for an extraction, the hero with the hidden supplies can escape through the entrance.
  • The mission ends when the hero with the hidden supplies escapes ([icon]) or withdraws.

End of Mission

When the hero with the hidden supplies escapes:

Weiss continues to fire upon you as your transport gains altitude. Your ship breaks orbit bearing a few more scorch marks, but otherwise you and the supplies remain intact.

  • Heroes receive 100 credits per hero.

At the end of Round 5, when the hero with the hidden supplies withdraws, or when all heroes are wounded:

You stumble out of the forest several days later, battered and half-starved. Weiss's pursuit was merciless, and only through sheer luck did you evade him.

  • The Imperial player receives General Weiss (Field Commander) as a villain.

Additional Rewards

  • Each player receives 1 XP.
  • Heroes receive 100 credits per hero.
  • The Imperial player receives 1 influence.

Transcription Notes

  • Source: the official FFG in-box rules sheet, two pages, image-only. Read from the page images at 150 and 300 dpi; no OCR text was used.
  • Struck-through text: on the printed sheet, the phrases "The figure can also be assembled as an AT-ST (see "Component List" on page 2 of the Learn to Play booklet in the Core Game)", "(General Weiss, AT-ST)" under the figure, and "New Orders, Endless Reserves" under the Command cards are struck through by a line. They are transcribed as printed, with the strikethrough kept.
  • Icons: the sheet names none of the icons used in the mission text. They are left in brackets: the threat icon in Special Setup, the map-tile icon, the icons after "(2" and in the "hidden supplies", "terminal" and "escapes" bullets.
  • Not on the sheet: the Command, Agenda, Deployment and Skirmish Mission card text, and the objectives and setup of the Skirmish Missions. The sheet gives only the mission briefings for Stolen Schematics and Stranded.
  • Maps: the map layouts are images and are not transcribed. The tile lists, Control Room (22A) and Camp (02A) labels are the text content of the maps.
