Components and Integration
This pack provides the General Sorin, Vicious Tactician plastic figure that can be used when playing a mission. The other components in this expansion are incorporated as follows:
- Add the Deployment cards to their supply.
- If you own the Return to Hoth expansion, the Imperial player can choose the "Bombardment" Agenda set when building his Agenda deck at the start of a campaign.
- If you own the Return to Hoth expansion, shuffle the Skirmish Mission cards into the Skirmish Mission deck. These cards use the "Climate Research Camp" skirmish map (see below).
- Add the Command cards to the pool of cards that a player can use to build his Command deck.
Component Breakdown
- 1 plastic figure (General Sorin)
- 2 Deployment cards (General Sorin, The General's Ranks)
- 3 Command cards (Optimal Bombardment, Fuel Upgrade, Field Tactician)
- 3 Agenda cards (Bombardment)
- 2 Skirmish Mission cards (Climate Research Camp)
Control
Some skirmish missions require players to control deployment zones, in addition to tiles or tokens.
- A player controls a deployment zone if there is at least one friendly figure in any space of that deployment zone and no hostile figures in any space of that deployment zone.
Skirmish Attachments
Some skirmish upgrade Deployment cards list the word "Attachment" above their abilities. These cards can be attached to other Deployment cards as follows:
- When deploying units during skirmish setup, if a player has one or more "Attachment" cards included in his army, he places each of these cards on one of his non-upgrade Deployment cards.
- Each Deployment card can have only one "Attachment."
- Abilities on "Attachment" cards apply to all figures in the corresponding group.
- Many attachments require the group to have a specific trait, such as "TROOPER." Attachments with these restrictions cannot be played on a group that does not have the trait.
When a group with an "Attachment" card is defeated, the opposing player scores VPs equal to the deployment cost of the "Attachment" card in addition to the VPs he scores from the defeated group's Deployment card.
Skirmish Map: Climate Research Camp
This map requires the Return to Hoth expansion.
The Climate Research Camp skirmish map is printed on the sheet and is used with the two Skirmish Mission cards in this pack (see Components and Integration above). The sheet does not print the text of those Skirmish Mission cards.
Side Mission: Fully Charged
This map requires the Return to Hoth expansion.

Mission Briefing
The cold stings as you approach Sorin's base. A growling hum fills the air as the base's guards file into position, training their blasters on you.
- The neutral mission tokens form a barricade. The barricade is blocking terrain.
- A Rebel figure can attack the barricade (Health: Twice the threat level, Defense: None). A hero can interact with the barricade (2 [icon]) to discard all of its tokens.
- The AT-ST is inactive. While inactive, the AT-ST cannot activate. The AT-ST can enter and occupy interior spaces.
- The mission ends when the AT-ST is defeated or when all heroes are wounded.
The AT-ST
At the end of Round 3:
- The AT-ST is no longer inactive. Apply additional Health to the AT-ST equal to twice the threat level.
- The Imperial player chooses 1 of the following:
- The AT-ST can interrupt to perform a move or attack.
- Increase threat by the threat level.
Reinforcements
At the end of Round 5:
- At the start of each Status Phase, increase threat by the threat level.
Showdown
When the barricade is discarded:
The barricade splinters and reveals General Sorin himself. "Kill them!" he shrieks, ducking for cover.
- The blue deployment points are now active.
- Deploy the reserved General Sorin and Probe Droid to any blue points.
- The Imperial mission tokens represent an energy field. Rebel figures treat the energy field as blocking terrain. Imperial figures treat the energy field as normal terrain.
- A Rebel figure can interact with the energy field ([eye icon] or [icon]) to discard it.
- Apply additional Health to General Sorin equal to twice the threat level. While General Sorin is defending, if he is adjacent to a friendly figure, add 1 white die to his defense pool.
Security Measures
When the energy field is discarded:
- Increase threat by the threat level.
- The red deployment point is now active.
End of Mission
When the AT-ST is defeated:
A well-placed attack triggers a chain reaction in the massive war machine. You duck for cover as it explodes. Sorin flees, cursing you and his "incompetent underlings." Left alone in the suddenly silent base, you trigger a self-destruct sequence, leaving it a smoldering ruin.
- Heroes receive 100 credits per hero.
When all heroes are wounded:
The colossal AT-ST lumbers toward you, its armor impervious to your attacks. As you are forced to flee the battle, you hear Sorin behind you laughing and mocking your cowardice.
- The Imperial player receives General Sorin (Vicious Tactician) as a villain.
Additional Rewards
- Each player receives 1 XP. Heroes receive 100 credits per hero. The Imperial player receives 1 influence.
Transcription Notes
- The sheet's text is read from page images at 300 dpi; no text layer exists. Icons are written as words where the sheet's text makes the meaning plain (threat, defeated, Health, credits, XP, influence). Two icons in the barricade and energy-field bullets could not be identified with certainty at the printed size and are shown in brackets as "[icon]" and "[eye icon]" rather than named.
- The sheet's footer strip of card numbers (the list of card IDs for this pack) is not reproduced; it is a card index, not rules text.
