Artifacts
Artifacts are advanced rules. When you've played a few games and want to play with Artifact tiles, shuffle these Artifacts with your others and follow the rules for set up found in the base rulebook!
The Statue Artifact
Place this tile and one other tile of your choice during the Prepare phase before the round begins. It counts as Wild for all Money, Influence, Magic and Prestige.
If you play any Monster tiles in this way, ignore the effects of those Monsters.
The Potion Artifact
Before Magic is assigned, reduce your Magic by 2 and increase your Money, Influence and Prestige each by 2. If you have less than 2 Magic, only increase the Money, Influence and Prestige each by the amount of Magic you have.
It's possible you may not have any Magic left to assign after using this spell.
Monsters
Before starting Set Up, shuffle these Monster tiles into the appropriate stacks with their level of Monsters.
Spindra
Level 1 -- Building phase:
Place Spindra in your city. The next tile you draw must be placed on top of Spindra.
Exception: If the next tile you draw is a Monster with its own placement restriction (such as the Golem, the Giant, or the Pixie), then ignore Spindra's effect and do the other Monster's effect instead. If visible when you are scoring your city, Spindra's tile does not count toward any of the four colored districts. Spindra may only be killed if visible (i.e. not covered by another tile). Do not use Spindra for solo play.
Gazer
Level 2 -- Building phase:
As soon as you draw the Gazer tile, place it in your city and then immediately draw three tiles at once: choose one to play, one to discard, and one to destroy.
The destroyed tile is removed for the rest of the game; the discarded tile returns to your deck next round.
- If you draw any Monsters in your three tiles, do not do any of their effects unless you choose a Monster tile as the tile you play.
- If the Gazer causes you draw the last two tiles in your deck, then you may do any two of the effects (play, discard, destroy).
- If the Gazer causes you to draw the last tile in your deck, you may do any one of the effects (play, discard, destroy).
