The Card

Puffing Billy

  • Card type: a Train card (the postcard describes it as "a limited edition Snowdonia train"). It is bought and owned under the Train rules in the Snowdonia rulebook.
  • Printed title: "Puffing Billy".
  • Printed symbols and text, top to bottom:

Top-left symbol

  • Printed: a long dark bar, in the top-left corner of the card.
  • Unresolved: the printed card does not say what this symbol means. The base rulebook's component list describes "Steel Bars" as "black rods", which is the closest match to the symbol's shape and colour. The match is inferred from appearance and is not printed on the card. Do not apply any meaning to this symbol until it is confirmed.

Cost or production line

  • Printed: "[Coal cube] = [Labourer] + [striped Labourer with "?"]".
  • The black cube is a Coal cube (the base rulebook's "Coal" component, described as black cubes).
  • The plain white figure is read as a Labourer, the base rulebook's name for the pawn-shaped workers. The card shows a generic figure, not a player-coloured one, so the colour is not significant on this card.
  • Unresolved: the striped figure with "?" is not defined on the card. The base rulebook's temporary Labourer is a player's third Labourer, taken from the Pub in that player's colour, but the card does not say that the striped figure is that Labourer, nor what the "?" stands for. Do not transcribe this as a rule until the printed meaning is confirmed.

Components

  • Printed: "comes with" followed by one black Coal cube.
  • The owner starts with one Coal cube on this card, the same as the base rulebook's Train cards that "come with one Coal".

Quote

  • Printed: "You will never know just how much you value your breath until you can't breathe". This is flavour text, not a rule.
