Train Cards

These are Train cards and follow the Train rules in the Snowdonia rulebook. Each Train card has a Steel Bar cost (top left), comes with Coal (black cube), and is bought with a Build action once the "Trains may now be bought" event has happened.

Ivor the Engine

  • Card number: 12.
  • Top left: a Steel Bar symbol (the black rod).
  • Comes with: one Coal (the black cube printed under "comes with").
  • Printed symbols:
    • Grey disc = a track and shovel icon (the printed track section with a shovel). The exact effect of this symbol could not be confirmed from the low-resolution scan; the base rulebook does not define a grey disc as a component.
    • Coal (black cube) = Labourer (white pawn). This is the same Coal-for-temporary-Labourer exchange described for Trains in the base rulebook.

Jimmy and the Little Old Engine

  • Top left: a Steel Bar symbol, with the printed text "or FREE if bought by a player 11 years old or younger".
  • Comes with: one Coal (the black cube printed under "comes with").
  • Printed symbols:
    • Shovel icon (top middle, beside the title).
    • Track icon with the number "1" and the number "2" over a grey disc. The grey disc is the same symbol as on Ivor the Engine and the exact effect could not be confirmed from the scan. The numbers 1 and 2 appear over the two spaces of a track icon.
    • Coal (black cube) = Labourer (white pawn).

Station Card

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch Station

  • Printed as a Station card with a help arrow and a track icon in the top left corner. The card's name is printed in four lines, hyphenated in the print: "Llanfairpwllgwyn-gyllgogerychwyrndrob-wllllantysiliogogogoch Station".
  • Four non-excavation building sites, each with a cost and a victory point value. Each site is shown as a dashed box with the cost on the left and the victory points in a gold tile on the bottom right.
SiteCostVictory points
Site 1 (top left)2 Stone (grey cube)5
Site 2 (top right)4 white cube (colour not matched to a base-game resource; see note)5
Site 3 (bottom left)4 Iron Ore (orange cube)7
Site 4 (bottom right)2 Coal (black cube)5

Note: the base game defines white cubes only as Event markers. The white-cube cost on Site 2 is transcribed as printed. The scans are low resolution and the card is not text-legible, so the rule for this symbol could not be confirmed.

The sites are printed as non-excavation sites (no shovel symbol is printed on them).

Action Space Card

Action Area H, space 1

  • Printed on a yellow card with an "H" in the top left corner and a dashed square with the number "1" (action space [1] of Action Area H).
  • Below the number is a black plus sign and a card picture titled "Snowdonia" showing a cottage, with a yellow and blue disc printed on its bottom edge. The card picture sits over a ruined stone wall.
  • No rules text is legible on the scan. The plus sign and the card picture are transcribed as printed. The rule this action space gives could not be confirmed from the scan and should be checked against the physical card before use.
