Contents
- 6 wooden snails in 6 colours
- 2 colour dice
- 1 game board
Goal
The goal of the game is to be the first to bring one of the colourful snails to the lettuce heads.
Setup
Before you start, place the six snails on the starting fields of the matching colour. They are marked with a leaf. Put the red snail on the red leaf, the blue snail on the blue leaf, and so on.
Always set up all six snails, even if fewer than six children are playing.
The youngest player begins.
Turn
When it is your turn, roll both colour dice and move the snails of the rolled colours forward along their tracks by one field each. For example, if you roll yellow and green, you must move the yellow snail and the green snail forward one field each.
If you roll the same colour on both colour dice, move that snail forward two fields.
Then your left-hand neighbour takes a turn.
Game End
The game ends when a snail reaches the coloured goal field in front of the lettuce heads. Whoever brings this snail into the goal has won.
Congratulations!
Rule for Two Winners
Here not only the first snail is the winner, but also the last snail to reach the goal. You keep rolling until all snails have reached their goal fields.
If you roll a colour whose snail is already on its goal field, skip that snail and move only the snail that is still in the race.
Example
The green, yellow and red snails have already reached the goal. A player rolls green and blue. Now only the blue snail is moved forward one field.
When the last snail has arrived in front of its lettuce head, the second winner is also determined.
