Don't worry too much about being exact-"close" is good enough!

  1. The player who most recently had some good luck takes the first turn!

Overview and Objective

Riches reside at the end of every rainbow! Draw cards from the deck each turn or roll the dice to see if you can "bank" the cards in front of you… but be careful not to push your luck too hard! If you run out of luck and BUST, you lose your cards before you have a chance to bank them!

Play proceeds to the final round after the deck runs out of cards, after which the player with the most banked points wins!

How to Play

Starting with the first player, take turns in clockwise order. On your turn, you can either DRAW or ATTEMPT TO BANK.

Draw

Draw a card from the deck and place it face up in front of you. Make sure all of your face-up cards are visible to all players.

Each card has a number and a color. The number is the amount of points the card will score if it is in your bank at the end of the game, and a card's color may cause wacky things to happen when you draw it:

If you draw a card and you do not currently have a face-up card that matches the color of the card you drew, that's great! You must keep the card face up in front of you.

If you draw a card and you already have a face-up card of that color, you must give the card you drew to another player who does not have a card of that color face up in front of them.

Finally, if you draw a card and all players have a card of that color face up in front of them, you BUST! (See page 6).

Attempt to Bank

Instead of drawing a card, you can roll the dice and see if you can move the face-up cards in front of you to your face-down pile of cards you have banked.

Roll the die. If the number you roll does not match the number on one of your face-up cards, you successfully add all of the face-up cards in front of you to your scoring pile. Cards in your scoring pile are safe for the rest of the game: you can never lose them!

If the number you roll matches the number on one of your face-up cards, you BUST! (See pg 6).

Busting

You bust if…

  • You draw a card and all players (including you) have a card of that color face up in front of them, or…
  • You attempt to bank, but roll a number on the die that matches the number on one of your face-up cards.

When you BUST, starting clockwise from you all other players may take one of your cards! However, they cannot take a card if they already have a face-up card of that color.

Next, discard any remaining face-up cards to a discard pile beside the Rainbow deck.

Shooting Stars

Cards featuring shooting stars have no color at all! You always keep a shooting star when you draw it, even if you have another face-up Shooting Star card.

Sky Five!

If you ever have cards of all five colors face up in front of you, shout "Sky Five!" and you immediately bank all of your face-up cards without having to roll the die–even if it's not your turn!

Final Round and Scoring

After the last card is drawn, all players take one final turn where they must attempt to bank their cards. If you've already taken your final turn, you can no longer take cards as a result of another player busting during the final round.

After everyone has taken their final turn, add together the numbers on all cards in your scoring pile. The player with the highest total score wins!

In case of a tie, the tied player with more cards wins. If a tie persists, the victory is shared.
