Setup
Each player is given a board and all tiles of the same color.
Gameplay
One person is chosen as the 'Start Player'. They turn all their tiles face down and mix them up. All other players keep their tiles face up beside their boards.
The 'Start Player' turns over one of their tiles and shows it to all players. Then the other players find their own matching tiles and everyone places their tiles.
- The tiles may be placed anywhere on the board and in any orientation.
- Once a tile is placed, it can't be moved or rotated.
- As the round nears the end the tiles will most likely be harder to fit properly and some most likely will not.
When everyone has placed their tile, the 'Start Player' picks another tile and repeats the process all over again.
Game ends when all the spaces on the board are filled.
Scoring
Only roads that connect 2 different characters score points.
Score 1 point for each tile that a road crosses.
Scoring Example
The printed example shows a board with six roads, labelled a to f:
- Road a = 2 points
- Road b = 2 points
- Road c = 14 points
- Road d = 4 points
- Road e = 10 points
- Road f = 2 points
= 35 points Total
Printed-source note: the six road values as printed add up to 34 (2 + 2 + 14 + 4 + 10 + 2), not the printed total of 35. The printed total is transcribed as printed; the discrepancy is in the original example.
Solitaire Variant
Using the same rules as above the player tries for the highest score.
