Goal of the Game
Complete the challenges by tilting and gently shaking the box to move the correct objects into one room, following the information on the card(s). Win a card as a point when you are the first one to finish.
How to Play
Each game, or variation, uses the same basic play pattern:
- During the game, players will have to rearrange the objects in their manors by tilting and gently shaking the boxes, so that the objects pass through the doorways into other rooms (players may not move the objects from room to room with their hands).
- In order for a Challenge Card to be considered complete, all of the objects required in one room must be entirely in that room (no other object may be in that same room). Objects must be completely in the room; those in doorways do not count.
Game 1
Set Up
- Shuffle the cards and place them in a pile so that the side with the objects is face-up in the center of the table (this side will not be used for this game).
- Each player takes 1 meeple, 2 ghosts, 2 eyes, 2 spiders, 2 snakes, and 3 treasure chests.
- Players set up by placing 1 meeple, 1 ghost, and 3 treasure chests randomly into their box. Then, each player places the remaining objects on the table in front of them.
Game Play
- To start each round, players mix up the box of the player to their right.
- One player turns over the top card, revealing the side with a specific room, so that it is visible to all (for future rounds, players take turns flipping the top card).
- All players then race to complete the challenge by tilting and gently shaking their boxes as they try and get the meeple and the 3 treasure chests into the room pictured on the card. No other object may be in that room for the challenge to be considered complete.
- The first player to complete the challenge has the player to their right double-check, and then wins the card as a point. If that player is wrong they give back a card (if they have one), and then everyone continues the challenge until someone completes it correctly.
- The player to the right of the round winner picks an object from those that the round winner had put aside, and adds it to the round winner's box (making future game play slightly harder).
- Once the challenge has been completed, a new round starts.
End of Game
The first player to 5 points wins the game.
Game 2
Set Up
- Shuffle the cards and place them in a pile so that the side with a room is face up in the center of the table (both sides of the cards will be used for this game).
- Each player takes 1 meeple, 2 ghosts, 2 eyes, 2 spiders, 2 snakes, and 3 treasure chests, placing all the objects into their box.
Game Play
- Before each round, players mix up the box they are holding and then pass it to the player on their left.
- One player turns over the top card, revealing the side with objects, and places it next to the pile so that it is visible to all (for future rounds, players take turns flipping the top card).
- Players then use both visible cards on the table as a reference for the challenge. They must race to get all the objects pictured on one of the cards into the room pictured on the other card. No other objects may be in that room for the challenge to be considered complete.
- The first player to finish the challenge has the player to their right double-check, and then wins the flipped card as a point. If that player is wrong they give back a card (if they have one), and then everyone continues the challenge until someone completes it correctly.
- To start a new round, flip over the top card to reveal the next set of Challenge Cards.
End of Game
The first player to 5 points wins the game.
Game 2 Variation
Plays like Game 2 except players must now get all of the objects that are missing from one card, into the room pictured on the other card.
