Aim of the Game

During the game, the active player will read out loud 20 words, all other players will have to scribble down these words to try to remember as many of them as possible in order to score the most points. In the end, whoever scored the most points is the winner.

Set Up

  1. Shuffle all cards and put the deck in easy reach of all players.
  2. Place the scoring path cards on the table. Each player choose a pawn of the colour of their choice and places it on the "Start" point position.
  3. Place the bell in the centre of the table at an equal distance from all players.
  4. Each player has 1 pencil and 1 drawing sheet except for the active player.
  5. The youngest player is the first active player.

How to Play

  1. The active player draws 5 cards randomly. There are 16 words on each card; the player will only read the 4 words highlighted in the colour their pawn is standing on. We suggest holding the cards like this (Figure 1).

  2. All other player should ready their pens and papers. Then the active player start to read the words out loud. We suggest the reading speed is 1 second for 1 word.

  3. All other players should scribble icons at the same speed into the boxes of the drawing sheet to help them remember these words. It is not allowed to write words, letters or numbers.

  4. After 20 words have been read out, the active player will decide to question the other players either in clockwise or anti clockwise direction. Then active player will ask: "What is number X (select a number from 1 to 20, e.g. What is number 8?)?" to the player sitting next to him in the chosen direction. If the targeted player answers correctly, then he will score 2 points and move their pawn accordingly on the score track;

  5. If the answer is incorrect or the player cannot remember what it is (in which case they should say "pass"), then he will score no point but all other players can hit the bell to attempt the answering instead. If answered correctly, that player scores 1 point, if incorrect he get a penalty to lose 1 point instead. Whoever hits the bell first gets to answer, and if the second player also answers incorrectly, no more attempts are allowed and game continues with the next word.

IMPORTANT: The active player SHOULD NOT tell the correct answers to players but instead always only reply with either "Correct" or "Incorrect".

  6. The game continues until all players have answered 3 times and then the turn ends. Now if more than half of question could correctly answered the turn player will score 4 bonus points. But if all players correctly answer all questions then turn player will score -2 point.

  7. The next player to the left is the active player for the next round and game continues as described. Each player will be the active player once. The game ends when all players have been the active player one time and the player with the highest score wins the game.

Variants

Advanced Mode

After players have drawn the icons, instead of guessing, the active player holds on to the cards for now. Game continues with the next player reading out the words and everybody draws the icons. This continues until all players have read out words. For example, in a 5 players game, each player should now have 4 filled out sheets of paper. Now, the game starts over again with the first active player of the drawing round asking the questions. This way, a lot more time will have passed and it will be much more difficult for players to remember what they have drawn, thus they will have to rely even more on their scribbles!

Attention: If there are five players, each hand holding 4 speed drawing, the starting players will start to ask questions. This play will increase the difficulty of the speed of painting.

Insane Mode

Game rules are the same except players have to draw with their left hand (if you're a lefty, then you'll have to use your right hand).

Semi-Co-Op Mode

Each group has 2 players. After you've drawn all your icons. If you forget the answer, you can ask your group member to help you to answer the question. If that player answers any questions correctly, then you both score 1 point each. If incorrect answer this group member cannot hit the bell to attempt the answering.

Super Insane Mode

(Play only if you feel you had a really bad day and you feel like you need to hit rock bottom!) Combine the three modes: advance + Insane + Semi-Co-Op and have fun with them!
