The Cards
The set contains 4 new action cards, one for each player. All four carry the same printed face.
Each card comes with a pre-printed white die. The scan shows a white die with two pips on the card that was photographed at the top left, which matches the "white-2" die described on BGG.
Rule Text
The wording below is quoted from the BGG item description (designer's text). The cards themselves print no words, only icons. It should be checked against the printed card or the publisher's wording if one becomes available.
- These cards come with a pre-printed white 2 die.
- When resting, they allow players to dismiss any of the first 6 translators (1-5 range).
Icon Key
The card carries no words. The table lists each printed symbol in the blue band and on the card face, with how it was read.
| Printed symbol | Position | Named as | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blue band along the bottom | Bottom of card | Rest effect area | Read from the card. The base rulebook states that all Action Cards have a Rest effect printed against a blue background, so the band is the card's Rest effect. |
| Moon with stars, followed by an arrow | Bottom-left of band | Rest | Partly unresolved: the sourcer and the BGG description treat this as the Rest trigger. The base rulebook does not name this icon in its icon key, so the match is not confirmed from the rulebook text. |
| Green card with a white "X" | Bottom-centre of band | Dismiss | Partly unresolved: the BGG description says the Rest effect lets players "dismiss" translators. The X symbol is taken as the dismiss action only because of that wording. The card does not print the word. |
| Grey box with "1-5" in square brackets | Bottom-right of band | Range of 1 to 5 | Read from the card; matches the "(1-5 range)" wording in the BGG description. |
| White die, pre-printed |
Rest Effect
The following is the BGG description applied to the printed icons above. The card does not print the full rule.
- When a player Rests, this card's Rest effect allows them to dismiss any of the first 6 translators, within the 1-5 range shown on the card.
- The card comes with its pre-printed white 2 die, as described above.
Unresolved: the card does not say how the "first 6 translators" are determined, and the base rulebook does not use the word "dismiss". The exact procedure is not transcribed here.
