Player Guide

Aim of the Game

Answer questions correctly and be the first player or team to make it the whole way around the board.

Setting Up

Place the game board where everyone can reach it. Shuffle all the cards into one deck and place them face down next to the board. Each player selects a mover piece and places it on the start space.

If there are lots of people playing, or younger players that may need assistance, form teams. Now would be a good time to use the bathroom if you need to.

Playing the Game

The player (or team) with the cleanest fingernails goes first. To move off the start space, players pick the category they would like their first question to be from. On subsequent turns the question category is indicated by the space they occupy on the board. The person to the player's left becomes the reader and picks up the top card from the deck and reads aloud the question from the appropriate category.

If the player or team does not answer correctly they do not move and play moves to the next player or team. If they answer correctly they move their token forward as directed by the card. Their turn is over, the reader returns the card to the bottom of the deck and play passes to the next player or team.

Winning the Game

The first player or team to reach the end space is declared the winner.

Question Cards

There are three questions on each card, one from each category: Scrapes & Scabs, Blood & Guts, Blubber or Buff? All questions are multiple choice or have true / false answers, and a short explanation or a related factoid.

Scrapes & Scabs

These questions promote basic positive health concepts and cover topics such as hygiene, infections and wounds. They focus mainly on the external body.

Blood & Guts

Packed with disgusting facts, Blood & Guts questions delve into the science of our blood stream and internal organs. The questions highlight the benefits of vitamins and antibiotics.

Blubber or Buff?

This category is all about positive health choices, focusing on the 'Buff'. It offers insights into muscle building and highlights the dangers of inactivity, unhealthy eating habits and living a sedentary life style.

Pick a Category

When a player lands on this space they may choose a question from any category.

Wild Cards

If the reader picks up a wild card, the player must follow the instructions, regardless of what space they are on, they do not receive a question.

Some wild cards may instruct you to perform an action. The reader then judges and decides if you should be allowed to move or not. Other wild cards will instruct you on how you should move on the board.

The full list of wild cards is printed on the cards themselves, not on this guide.

Quick Rules

  1. Unfold the board, shuffle the cards, choose a mover piece and place it on the start space.
  2. Player with the cleanest fingernails goes first. They choose a question category.
  3. Player to your left reads the question. If answered correctly move forward as directed by the card, if not stay where you are.
  4. If the reader picks up a wild card the player follows the instructions. Play moves to the next player.
  5. The space you land on indicates the type of question you will be asked at the start of your next turn.
  6. First player to reach the end is declared the winner!

Note: The space a player occupies determines the type of question they will be asked on their next turn.
