Reading the Cards

Each Hero card shows the Hero's Role (Brute, Gunner, Captain, Quartermaster or Swashbuckler), name, title, and Hit Points (HP). Each Hero has three skill slots, and each Hero card also carries a Storybook Crew ability and, for Mister Sticks, a Drink Hand ability.

Skill Cards follow the base rules: the number printed on the front of a Skill Card is its unlock cost in coins, and the number on the upgrade arrow of a Level 1 side is its Level Up cost in coins. Skills printed with a Basic Attack label start unlocked.

Attack Skills show three stats: Attack Dice (crossed-swords icon), To Hit (die-face icon with a "+"), and Range (dagger icon). These are the Attack Dice, To Hit, and Range defined in the base rules.

Transcription Notes

  • The To Hit die-face values on the Attack Skills and the die-face values on the Trap cards are printed as pip-face icons that do not resolve at the scan's resolution. They are marked above rather than inferred. Check these against a physical card before relying on them.
  • For the same reason the To Hit value is omitted from every Attack Skill's stat line; only Attack Dice and Range are given, both read from the printed numbers and dagger/sword icons.
