Landmark Set-Up

Appendix A, Step 5 of the Law of Root, as printed.

As a group, you may choose to use landmarks (Appendix L). If so, you may ignore or override the placement of the Tower and Ferry pieces in Maps (Appendix M).

A.5.1 Step 1: Choose

As a group, choose if you're playing with one or two landmarks, and remove any landmark cards you do not want to play with.

A.5.2 Step 2: Deal and Collect

Shuffle the chosen landmark cards, deal out the chosen number, and collect the landmark piece shown on each dealt card.

A.5.3 Step 3: Set Up

The last player in turn order sets up one drawn landmark as described on its card. If you chose to play with two landmarks, the second-to-last player in turn order sets up the other drawn landmark as described on its card.

Missing from this source: the set-up instructions printed on each landmark card.

Appendix L.1 of the Law of Root, as printed.

L.1.1 Safety

Landmarks cannot be battled, moved, covered, or removed, unless noted explicitly by a landmark.

L.1.2 Ownership

Individual Landmarks

Not transcribed. The per-landmark set-up and ability text is on the landmark cards and on the Setup/Rules card of the Landmarks Pack, which were not available to the transcriber. Use the physical cards for those rules.
