Setup
Each player takes 1 sheet and a pen.
Determine the first player.
How to Play
The game consists of 8 rounds, each of which proceeds as follows.
1. Preparation
The first player puts all 7 dice into the bag and mixes them.
2. Player Actions
Players, in turn, clockwise starting from the first player, take their turn, consisting of the following 3 parts:
Getting information – the active player draws 2 dice from the bag without looking, rolls them, and announces the 2 results: the color of each die and its value.
Recording information – each player enters both dice results onto their own sheet, in any order. A player may treat the pink die as a die of any color convenient to them. Each result is written into an empty cell of the matching color. All cells neighboring that cell must be either empty, marked with an "X", or differ by no more than 1 from the number being recorded. The color of neighboring cells does not matter. Cells connected by blue sea routes also count as neighboring. For example, if a "2" is rolled, it can be written into a cell of the matching color whose neighboring cells are either empty or contain "X", "1", "2", or "3". If a player cannot write the number into any cell, they must instead mark an "X" in one of the empty cells of the matching color. If there are no empty cells of that color left on the player's sheet, they write nothing. Three times during the game, a player may change a die's color to another color of their choosing, marking this on the corresponding boxes on their sheet.
End of turn – the first player counts the total number of dice already drawn from the bag. If fewer than 6 dice have been drawn, the next player clockwise takes their turn.
3. End of Round
The round ends when 6 dice have been drawn from the bag. All players mark the end of the round on their sheet, and the next player clockwise becomes the new first player.
End of Game
After the 8th round is completed, each player marks an "X" in every remaining empty cell on their sheet, then counts the total number of "X"s and writes the result in the corresponding box on their sheet. The winner is the player with the fewest "X"s.
Solo Variant
The game can be played by 1 player, who tries to achieve the best possible result.
