Setup

  1. Shuffle all ROBiTs cards together, then deal out a row of seven face-up cards to the center of the table.

  2. For each player beyond the first, deal an additional row of seven face-down cards to create a grid of cards called the Assembly Line. The play area should look like this (for a four-player game):

(Diagram: rows of face-down cards stacked above a row of seven face-up cards.)

  3. Set the deck aside, face-down. The player who most recently saw a robot goes first!

Overview and Objective

Collect ROBiTs cards from the Assembly Line each turn. After each player has drafted his or her seventh card, the game ends, and the player with the highest scoring ROBiT wins!

How to Play

ROBiTs is played over a series of seven rounds, during which each player will collect one new card from the Assembly Line. Starting with the first player, play proceeds clockwise in order. The game ends and proceeds to final scoring after each player has collected his or her seventh card.

During your turn, select any one card in the Assembly Line (face-up or face-down). Reveal that card if it is face-down, and then place it in your play area.

If you took a face-up card in this fashion, reveal the next face-down card "above" it in the Assembly Line.

Card Types

Four different types of cards will show up in the Assembly Line:

Parts

Most cards in the Assembly Line will be Parts — the building blocks of all ROBiTs! Four different types of Parts will show up on the Assembly Line. Complete a ROBiT with two arms, a pair of legs, a torso, and a head to score the most points!

Parts also come in five different colors that indicate the Part's model.

Sparkeez

Sparkeez are miniature bots that are separate from the ROBiT you're building. When you collect a Sparkeez card, set it aside. It will score a flat three points at the end of the game!

Junk

Junk can be used like a "wild" bodypart card to patch up your ROBiT. Junk does not have a model or color, and it does not score points on its own. However, it can stand in as a substitute for a Part, and allow you to score your ROBiT as though it were completed.

Overclock

Punch it! When you take an Overclock card, look at the top two cards of the ROBiTs deck. Take one of those cards and put it into your play area. Then, place the other card and the Overclock card on the bottom of the deck.

Game Ending and Final Scoring

The game ends once each player has seven cards in his or her play area. Now, assemble your ROBiTs! (One ROBiT per player please!)

A completed ROBiT consists of exactly one "head", one "legs", one "torso", and two "arms". You may not use any cards in excess of these numbers when building your ROBiT.

After all players have finished assembling their ROBiTs, score for the following:

Your Parts!

Each Part card displays a number. You score points equal to the combined value of those numbers among cards in your ROBiT — even if your ROBiT is incomplete! (This does not include the Parts that you are not using in your ROBiT. Junk scores 0 points.)

Bot Bonus!

If you completed your ROBiT, and three or more of your ROBiT's Parts share a common color, you score a Bot Bonus. Different colors will score different amounts of points as their Bot Bonuses.

Model (Color)MultiplierBot Bonus
Bluex31 point
Bluex43 points
Bluex55 points
Purplex33 points
Pinkx45 points
Goldx510 points
Greenx35 points
Greenx410 points
Greenx5

(The "x3", "x4", "x5" entries in the table are the number of Parts sharing the color, as printed on the Bot Bonus chart; the column header is supplied for readability.)

The player with the highest overall score wins. In case of a tie... just play again!
