What is the difference between summoning and placing a figure?
Summoning happens through Recruit, a Kami effect, buying a Monster and similar, and triggers Summon abilities. Placing a figure (a Betray replacement, or a card that says to 'place' or return it) just puts it on the board and is not a Summon.
