Rising Sun
Is a Betray replacement a Summon, and does it count as a kill?
Betray states that replacing is not a Summon and replaced figures are not killed.

No to both. The Shinto cannot be sent to worship, Summon triggers do not fire, and kill-based effects do not trigger because replaced figures are not killed. Abilities that fire when a figure enters a Province, such as Oni of Spite, do.
