When does a slot module activate, and does a one-colour module fire twice?
The designer described the activation timing and the rulebook matches.

A module activates when you play a card of a colour it shows into its slot, once per play, so a single-colour module fires only through that colour. It also activates immediately when you place it on a space with an activation symbol; replacing a module there does not trigger the new one.
