How do I get minor artifacts?
The rulebook describes minor artifacts as the substitute after the game end, plus the longer-game variant in setup.

Normally only after the end game has been triggered: if you would gain an artifact then, you take a minor artifact (2 points) instead. The supply is meant to be unlimited. The only other use is the 4-player longer-game variant, which places 2 minor artifacts by the craters as an extra end condition.
