Do Hofstadterian temples on water spaces count for scoring unique water spaces?
The designer confirmed this in three threads; the rulebook's scoring parenthetical reads more narrowly.

Yes. A water space where you placed a temple counts as one you collected a reward from, even without an adjacent building, for artifact cards and large locations. Each water space still counts only once. The printed '(built next to)' wording in the scoring list is not meant to exclude temples.
