How does the campaign scoring tile for presence on area tiles work?
The rulebook's campaign scoring list spells it out.

Count unique map area tiles (starting tiles included, large locations excluded) where you have a building or population figure. Extra pieces on the same tile add nothing. Having presence on at least 3/6/8/10 tiles scores 3/7/12/15 points.
