Princesses
Carmesina. Mirror. Use the ability of a Princess that has not yet been exhausted in this round. Only Carmesina is exhausted afterwards, not the other Princess.
Thumbelina. Ignorance is Bliss. You do not have to follow the trump suit. Instead, you may play any card except the Frog or a Prince. You may not use your ability to ignore the suit requested by The Little Mermaid or Rapunzel.
Editor's note: the publisher's German text calls the suit here "Trumpffarbe" (trump suit). In this ability it means the suit that was led for the trick, which is how the English Deluxe Edition rulebook words the same ability ("do not have to follow suit when you are not leading"). The word is kept as printed above.
Rapunzel. Royal Hair Climb (German: Lass dein Haar herunter). The player who starts the next trick must play a Prince, even if no Prince has been played yet. You may apply this ability to yourself. If the chosen player has no Prince, this ability is still exhausted, and that player may choose which suit to lead. This ability cannot be activated in the same trick as The Ice Princess or The Little Mermaid. (See also: "What happens when two Princess abilities conflict?" on the publisher's rules page. That entry is not part of the text reproduced here.)
Round Cards
ea: Magic Beans (German: Magische Bohne). You may only play your highest or lowest card of the trump suit, or, if you cannot follow suit, a card of another suit. This also applies to the player who leads the trick.
Editor's note: as in the Thumbelina note above, "trump suit" here means the suit that was led for the trick.
eb: Three Times a Lady (German: Drei mal drei ist Nein). Each 3 is worth -3 proposals. The Prince 3 is worth -2 proposals. In this round, a negative number of proposals can be scored.
ec: Arranged Marriage (German: Arrangierte Ehe). If you have won no trick at the end of the round, you receive 5 proposals. All other players count their proposals as usual.
Editor's note: the English Deluxe Edition rulebook words this card as "you receive 5 proposals in addition to any other proposals taken this round." The publisher's German text as printed does not contain the words "in addition to", so the wording above follows the German.
ed: Always the Bridesmaid (German: Die Nächste in der Reihe). The second highest card of the trump suit wins the trick. If no one can follow suit, the player who played the first card wins the trick.
Editor's note: "trump suit" here means the suit that was led for the trick, as explained above.
ee: Sisterhood (German: Schwesternschaft). The card of the trump suit that is furthest from the value of the first card played wins the trick. If everyone could not follow suit, the card that is furthest from the value of the first card played wins the trick. In case of a tie, the higher number played first wins.
Editor's note: "trump suit" here means the suit that was led for the trick, as explained above.
ef: Late for a Very Important Date? (German: Schon so spät?). You keep the last 3 cards in your hand. They count as a won trick. If they include Princes or the Frog, count them as usual for proposals.
