Can I both work in the Village and raid on the same turn?
The designer answered this directly, and it matches the rulebook.

No. Each turn you either Work (place and pick up Workers in the Village) or Raid (place a Worker on a Settlement and take the new Worker from that Settlement's raiding spaces). Either way you place one Worker and then pick up a different one.
