Raiders of the North Sea

Can I play Raiders of the North Sea with 5 or 6 players, and which expansions do I need?
Yes, but not with the base game alone. Hall of Heroes and Fields of Fame each add a fifth seat, and using both together allows six. The designer says the base game at five players leaves too few raiding opportunities, though six with Hall of Heroes alone may be worth trying.
