Setup

Give each player a crossword sheet and a pencil. One player takes the dice.

Object of the Game

Each roll of the dice will give players access to two letters, and each player chooses one of those letters and adds it to their personal crossword sheet to form rows and columns of words, scoring points based on how well they do. The player with the most points wins.

Playing the Game

On your turn, you throw the four colored letters dice as well as the black color selection die. The black die specifies which two colored letter dice are active in this round. Then, the two letters are read out loud by the active player. Each player, including the active player, must enter one of the two letters in a blank space on their 5x5 grid.

Example: The active player rolls the dice. The side showing green and yellow is shown on the black die. This means that only the green and yellow dice are available for this round. All players must write "G" or "R" somewhere on their 5x5 grid.

Then the next player takes the dice, rolls them, calls the two letters, and again all players enter a letter in a free field. The entry of a letter is always mandatory. When arranging the letters, care should be taken to create meaningful words both vertically and horizontally (but this is not mandatory).

The game is played until all players fill the last empty square with a letter.

Scoring

In each row and column players receive points for the longest complete word (2 letters: 1 point; 3 letters: 3 points; 4 letters: 6 points; and 5 letters: 10 points). Only one word per row and column scores. All points are added. The player with the most points wins the game.
