Components

  • 1 board.
  • 6 stackable pieces of each colour.

Goal

Control all the pieces, that is, succeed in placing a piece of your colour on top of every stack. The game is played from above.

Starting Position

The pieces are stacked in pairs on three cells in front of each player. One row of three cells remains free between the two rows of pieces.

Rules

  • Players take turns making a move. Pieces move in any direction except diagonally, by a number of cells equal to the number of pieces taken.
  • For example: if you take 1 piece, you place it 1 cell further. If you take 2, you put both back down, stacked, 2 cells further. If you take 3 (the maximum allowed), you put all three down together 3 cells further.
  • Moves may change direction (turn corners).
  • A stack belongs to the player who owns its top piece. Only that player may move or "break" the stack.
  • At most 3 pieces may be taken from a stack. The top piece must belong to the player whose turn it is. The other pieces in the stack may be of the opponent's colour.
  • The height of stacks is not limited.
  • Occupied cells do not block the passage of pieces. Pieces may move over them.
