Assembly
See the reverse of the instruction sheet for complete assembly instructions. Carefully remove the game pieces from the plastic frame. If needed, use an emery board or sandpaper to remove excess plastic from the game pieces. Discard the frame after removing all of the game pieces.
Mold Your Potatoes
Pick a color of PLAY-DOH compound. Then mold your potato as shown on the instruction sheet.
Object
Help your potato escape to the farm before it gets smashed in the Mash Machine!
Board Spaces
- Start: All potatoes begin the race here.
- Plates: Wait here until your next turn. If there is a potato already on the plate, move that potato to the next empty Mash Machine space on the path.
- Mash Machine (scissor slicer, crinkle chipper, french fryer, chip chopper): Wait here until your next turn. If there is a potato already on your Mash Machine space, move to the next empty Mash Machine space on the path.
- Finish: The first potato to reach this space wins. You do not have to get there by exact count.
Let's Play
Place your potato on the start space. The youngest player goes first. On your turn, spin and follow the directions below. Your turn is then over.
Spinner results:
- Numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4: Move ahead that number of spaces.
- Potato (leader) symbol: Move one space ahead of the leader. If you are the leader, move ahead one.
- Green symbol (Mash Machine): Smash all the potatoes in the Mash Machine! If the Mash Machine spaces are empty, put one player's potato on any Mash Machine space and then crank, chop or turn them into fries! You can also choose not to smash anyone on your turn.
The spinner symbols are described by their pictures on the instruction sheet; the sheet itself does not name them.
Did You Get Smashed?
Mold a new potato and return to the start space.
Did You Win?
The winner is the first player to reach the finish space in one potato piece!
Storing Your Game
Remove the crank before placing the Mash Machine back into the box. The rest of the contents should then easily fit into the box.
