Object of the Game

Find objects on the board and be the first to get 6 wins!

Start of the Game

When you play for the first time, take the game parts out of their packaging. Discard the waste. Place the board cards in a 3x3 square. This is your game board. Sort the task cards into 3 decks by colour. Shuffle each deck and place them face down beside the game board.

Play

Decide who will go first. Then play moves to the left.

Your Turn

First roll the coloured die. Then draw a card from the deck that matches the colour rolled. The task cards in each deck are different. Look at the task card.

Active Symbols

Some cards have symbols on their reverse side, showing that you must swap, flip or rotate board cards. If you drew one of these cards, do what it shows.

  • Double arrow: swap any 2 board cards.
  • Curved arrow: flip any board card.
  • Circular arrow: rotate any board card.

Task Cards

Green: Personal

You are on your own!

  • Read the task aloud. Roll the number die. You must find the number of objects that was rolled on the die.
  • Now turn the timer over and start searching! Point to each object you find, and keep track of how many you have found.
  • Success! If you found enough objects before time ran out, your turn ends. Add this to your number of wins.
  • Sorry! If time ran out before you found enough objects, your turn ends.
  • Put the card at the bottom of its deck.

Red: Auction

The player who offered the highest bid plays. Be careful: if your bid is too high and you lose, you must sacrifice one of your wins (if you have any).

  • Read the task aloud. Place the card face up so that everyone can see the task.
  • Decide how many objects, in your opinion, you will be able to find before time runs out. Then either take part in the auction, or abstain.
  • The player to your left must either make a higher bid or abstain. The auction continues until every player has either made a bid or declined to take part.
  • The player who wins the auction turns the timer over and starts searching.
  • Success! If you found enough objects before time ran out, your turn ends. Add this to your number of wins.
  • Sorry! If time ran out before you found enough objects, your turn ends.
  • Put the card at the bottom of its deck. You must sacrifice one of your wins (if you have any).

Blue: Find First

Everyone must play.

  • Turn the card face up so that everyone can see it. It shows an object that appears on the game board only once.
  • Now all players start searching quickly for the object. The player who finds it first shouts "Pictureka!" This player gets the card. The turn ends.

Win

Keep playing until one of the players has 6 wins. That player wins!

Other Ways to Play

For Younger Players

Children who cannot read yet can play using only the blue cards (the ones with pictures).

Faster or Longer Game

Depending on the number of players and the amount of time available, you may change the number of winning cards needed to win the game.

Team Play

Players split into 2 teams. Play is the same, except that a team plays as one player.
