Game Play Instructions
-
Separate all cards into 3 different color decks. Give the blue to Player 1, the orange to Player 2. Shuffle the black deck and set it face-down.
-
To start, Player 1 places 25 bird cards face-up on the playing surface, in any design, within an 8x8 invisible grid. This is the "Flock" in which all cards must stay connected (share a side) at all times.
-
Next, Player 2 places 1 fox on any bird to remove it from play. Thereafter, players take turns drawing 1 card from the black deck (starting with Player 1), which determines the number of moves the player must make in a turn (if possible). A fox may only move by pouncing on a bird with which it shares a side. Birds may fly to any open place on the 8x8 grid. If a "Plus" card is drawn by Player 2, he or she adds 1 fox to the game. If drawn by Player 1, he or she adds 3 birds. No move may separate any birds, or foxes, from the flock. Foxes may not touch until all birds are dead. When a fox is surrounded on all 4 sides and corners, it is dead, and removed from play. If no move is possible, the turn is over.
-
The surviving player wins!
