Can I discard Private Goals as Crystals, and how many at once?

Yes. You may discard any number of unused Private Goal cards at any time during your turn, even on your first turn, and each counts as a Crystal at once, such as to pay for a 2-Crystal Executive action. A goal you have completed cannot be discarded for a Crystal, and once you complete one goal you can no longer complete others, but the rest can still be traded for Crystals.
