Feat Cards
The Feat cards of Omen: Tales of the Ancients are compatible with Omen: A Reign of War, all the standalone expansions of Omen, and any combination of these sets. Simply use the 12 Feat cards of Omen: Tales of the Ancients instead of those of Omen: A Reign of War and follow their rules. When using Feat cards, do not forget to resolve the Feat Step before the War Step, and follow these rules:
Feat Step
During preparation, the active player checks whether they have completed any of their Feat cards. If they meet the requirements for an open Feat card, they announce it to their opponent. They then close the completed Feat cards, each of which gives them 2 victory points at the end of the game. There is no limit to the number of Feats a player can complete during their turn, although completing many Feats together is especially difficult!
End of Game (Feats)
At the end of the active player's turn, if the opponent has 5 or more closed Feat cards.
Note: the printed sentence in the insert ends at this point and does not state the consequence. The consequence is not supplied here; the text is transcribed as printed.

Reward Tiles
There are several ways to add the new Feat cards and Reward tiles to your game. Set up the game normally, but follow the variants below when preparing the rewards for each city.
Omen: Standalone Expansions
Variant 1: Shuffle together 1 copy of each Reward tile of Tales of the Ancients (6 in total) that does not have a Coin Symbol. Place 2 closed tiles for the rewards for each city.
Variant 2: Shuffle together the 12 Reward tiles of Tales of the Ancients without a Coin Symbol. Place 2 closed tiles for the rewards for each city. Return the remaining Reward tiles to the box.
Note: the printed text of Variant 2 says "12 ... without a Coin Symbol", but Variant 1 says that only 6 Tales tiles lack the symbol. The wording is transcribed as printed; the discrepancy is not resolved here.
Variant 3: Shuffle together all 6 base Reward tiles of any standalone Omen expansion and 1 copy of each of the 6 Reward tiles of Tales of the Ancients without a Coin Symbol. Place 2 closed Reward tiles for the rewards for each city. Deal 1 of the remaining Reward tiles to each player. Return the remaining Reward tiles to the box.
Omen: A Reign of War
Variant 1: Shuffle together the 12 Reward tiles of Tales of the Ancients, with Coin Symbol. Place 4 closed tiles, creating the rewards for the cities.
Variant 2: Shuffle together the 12 Reward tiles of Tales of the Ancients, without Coin Symbol. Place 4 closed tiles, creating the rewards for the cities.
Note: as in the standalone variants, the printed text here refers to 12 tiles "without Coin Symbol", which conflicts with the count of tiles that lack the symbol. Transcribed as printed.
Variant 3: Shuffle together 1 copy of each of the 12 Reward tiles of Tales of the Ancients and place 4 closed tiles, creating the rewards for the cities.
Variant 4: Take 1 copy of each Reward tile of the base Omen: A Reign of War and 1 copy of each Reward tile of Tales of the Ancients with Coin Symbol (12 tiles in total). Shuffle all of them together and place 4 closed tiles for the rewards for each city.
Variant 5: Shuffle together all 12 Reward tiles of the base Omen: A Reign of War and the 12 Reward tiles of Tales of the Ancients with Coin Symbol. Place 4 closed tiles for the rewards for each city. Deal 2 of the remaining Reward tiles to each player. Return the remaining Reward tiles to the box.
Note: Variant 5 calls for "the 12 Reward tiles of Tales of the Ancients with Coin Symbol", while Variant 4 and the Reward Tile Notes below show 6 such tiles. The printed counts are transcribed as printed; the discrepancy is not resolved here.
Reward Tile Notes
The tiles below have a coin symbol in the lower left corner. When a variant calls for tiles with the coin, they must be used.
The six Reward tiles with a Coin Symbol, as shown on the insert, with their printed Surge Step text:
- Pythia's Musings. Surge Step: When flipped, play up to 2 Oracles from your hand at no cost. Until the end of your turn, all cards discarded from the top of the deck count as Oracles.
- Perseus' Triumph. Surge Step: When flipped, discard up to 2 Beast cards from your hand. Use the DIRGE ability of each Beast that you discarded.
- Pandora's Folly. Surge Step: When flipped, play the top 2 units of the deck to 2 cities ignoring all abilities on those cards. ENRAGE those units.
- Narcissus' Reflection. Surge Step: When flipped, play 1 Soldier from your hand at no cost. Duplicate its ability and then destroy that unit.
- Chiron's Teachings. Surge Step: When flipped, search the deck for a Hero card, add it to your hand, and reveal your hand. Gain 1 coin or draw 1 card for each revealed Hero.
- Charon's Crossing. Surge Step: When flipped, play 1 Spirit card from the discard pile to any city. Use both of its abilities.
