Objectives

A safe place! The game is won as soon as both conditions are met simultaneously:

  • All Survivors are in the basement (Tiles 3R and 4R) while there are no Ghouls and no Violet Spawn token in it (see Special Rules).
  • The basement stairs are blocked by the Stairway Barricade token (highlighted Zone No.2, see Special Rules).

Special Rules

  • Setup.

    • The Survivors start in Romero Mode, with their Romero ID faceup.
    • Set the Uzi, a Sawed-Off, a Smith & Wesson Model 10 Ranged Equipment Cards, a Machete Melee Equipment Card, and a Stairway Barricade token in the designated Zones.
    • Set 3 Brutes, 2 Breakers, and 10 Walkers in the designated Zones.
  • Equipment stashes. The Melee and Ranged Equipment decks can only be Searched in the designated Zones (only while in Zombicide Mode).

  • They are ready! Whenever there are no Relatives on the board, all Survivors may switch to Zombicide Mode.

  • Dangerous relatives. Relatives only take their Activation Step after the Zombie Activation Step. Relatives have 2 actions per Activation Step.

  • The way to the basement. Yellow highlighted Zones (stairs) are considered adjacent Zones. They do not share a Line Of Sight to each other, but an Actor may Move from one to the other as if they were adjacent.

  • Death from below. Survivors can throw a Molotov into the Violet Spawn Zone (even inside the cabin): move the Violet Spawn Zone to the White Spawn Zone (ALL Survivors earn 5XP). Red and Yellow Spawn Zones cannot be moved by the Molotov.

  • Finding the barricade! A Survivor may spend an Action in the Zone with the Stairway Barricade token (Zone marked with No.1) to take it from the board and reorganize their inventory for free. This token takes up 2 spaces in the inventory and may be traded like Equipment. A Survivor carrying the Stairway Barricade token may spend an Action in the Yellow highlighted Zone (marked with No.2) to place the Stairway Barricade token in it.

  • Close the windows. Boards Equipment cards may be discarded to provide the Survivor with a Barricade token (no XP is gained). A Survivor carrying a Barricade token may spend 1 Action to block a window in their Zone. To do so, take a Barricade token from the Survivor's inventory and set it, in closed position, across the window. The Survivor earns 5XP (on the first time each window is barricaded).

  • It's Zombicide, baby! A Survivor in a Zone with a weapon card may spend an Action to take it and reorganize their inventory for free (even in Romero Mode).

  • Underground. Survivors cannot access the exterior Zones marked with Red X's (Basement Tiles 3R and 4R).
