Exchangeable Token
Before the game, a player can decide to exchange any token with one exchangeable token, if it is available for his faction.
The player must then show his opponents both the token that was removed from the faction, and the exchangable token added to the faction.
Once completed, the player should then shuffle their faction tokens.
The Berserker
Turn off your fear. Turn off your mind. Act like a machine. Even if that means a complete lack of survival instinct. For fear and shame are worse than death.
Hidden Feature: Sacrifice.
The Berserker dies automaticly and inflict 1 wound to each adjacent token (including HQs), in the direction of his attacks.
Sacrifice cannot be enhanced in any way (by modules providing attack bonuses for example).
Reflection works on Sacrifice normally.
Hex Puzzles
Source: page 23 of the base-game Neuroshima Hex! 3.0 rulebook ("Bonus Content: Hex Puzzles"). The rules below are base-game text, reproduced because the pack's Hexpuzzles cards use this format.
Along with the game, the box contains a set of 55 cards with Hex Puzzles. Hex Puzzle is a single player solitaire set in the world of Neuroshima Hex. Use your strategic skills to lead your troops to victory. If you don't have other players to play with you at the moment or you want to try yourself, Hex Puzzles are for you!
Each puzzle requires you to use a certain number of the depicted tiles in order to win a battle. At the back of the card you can see the solution.
Reading a Hex Puzzle card
The front of each card shows:
- Puzzle number (top left, in the green display).
- Situation before tiles choice: the board as it stands before you choose any tiles.
- Your army tiles to choose from: the tiles you may pick from, shown below the board. The card also shows the puzzle level and the number of your army tiles to choose from (the small print on the sample card is not fully legible at print scale, so the exact figures are not transcribed).
- Winning conditions: the printed text under the board. The sample card reads: "Use 2 tiles out of 3 in order to win - after you make your choice, a Final Battle commences. The Neuroshima Hex Puzzle is considered solved if you are the winner after the Final Battle (your HQ has more HP than your opponent's)."
- HQs damage: the green display showing each side's HQ and its damage.
- Puzzle name: shown at the bottom of the card.
The back of the card shows:
- Situation after the tiles choice and before the Final Battle: the board after the correct tiles are placed.
- Left over tiles: tiles that are not used in the solution.
- Plot: a short story text block on the card's lower left (not transcribed; flavour text).
- Solution: the board state shown on the back, so you can check your answer.
