How many objects do I need to discover all the Weaknesses, and does a Weakness need a specific object?
The rulebook text covers this directly.
Two, because the first Weakness is already revealed at the start. Each of the other two Weaknesses sits under a type of object (Character Corpse, Intruder Carcass, Egg), and each object can be used once, so a second object of the same type will not reveal a third Weakness. A Carcass used up in research cannot also count for a Carcass objective at game end.
