How do the Hatching and Egg Protection Event Darkness parts work?

Hatching's Darkness part gives a Larva to each Character in Darkness who is outside the Nest, and no Contamination card. Egg Protection's second half hits every Character in an unpowered Section, not just those in the Nest. Resolve an Encounter for each Character in the Nest when it says so, even if the Nest was destroyed.
