When does the Android scan a Contamination card, and what happens to it?

Most players scan it as soon as she gains it rather than waiting for it to cycle through her deck. If it is infected she takes the wound; either way the card is removed from the game instead of discarded, and she draws an Action card. She cannot gain a Larva. A minority reads the Trait as triggering only when the card is drawn from her Action deck; no official ruling exists.
