Symbols used on these cards

These symbol names are taken from the base Nations rulebook's key, not from the card text:

  • Wheat icon: Food.
  • Black rock icon: Stone.
  • Plain yellow coin icon: Gold.
  • Yellow circle with laurels: Victory Points (VP). Gained VP are shown this way in the base game.
  • Crossed swords: Military Strength.
  • Book icon: Books.
  • Brown square tile with a chevron: Architect.
  • Black meeple icon: Worker.
  • A red circle indicates a gain of the resource shown and a black circle a consumption or upkeep, as in the base game.
  • "/" is printed between the two halves of the Power Grid and Engineering Genius text. The base rulebook defines "/" as a choice between the listed items. The text is transcribed as printed.

Disclosed gaps

  1. No rulebook exists. This promo was never issued with its own rules document. The card text above is the complete printed text of the six cards. Nothing has been added to it, and none of the base Nations rules are restated here.
  2. Potemkin Village worker effect. The two yellow circles with "1" beside the Worker icons could not be resolved at the scan's resolution. The icon has not been confirmed as the VP laurel or the Gold coin, and the card does not spell out what each Worker gives. Transcribed as printed; check the physical card before relying on it.
  3. Julius Agricola red circle. The circle is read as a gain of 1 Stone, following the base game's convention that red circles are gains. The card does not spell this out.
  4. Icon identities. The icons are named from the base rulebook key (see "Symbols used on these cards"). They were not spelled out on the card.
  5. Passing order and game end. Solar Eclipse and Imperium Rex refer to Passing order, the Famine step, Score and Final scoring. Their timing and procedure depend on the base Nations rulebook, which is not reproduced here.
  6. Spring and Autumn Period comparison. The card compares Military Strength with "players left and right" and gives thresholds of "higher than one" and "higher than two". It is transcribed as printed. It does not say what happens when players tie.
