The first player is whoever last had lucky things happen to them.
How to Play
During their turn, a player may either reveal a card in a hand or reveal a card on the table.
Reveal a card in a hand: Choose any player and ask them to reveal their "biggest" or "smallest" card. They place it face-up in front of them. You may choose to reveal the biggest or smallest card from your own hand. You may ask the same person more than once in a row. If a player holds more than one card of a number, they still only reveal one card.
Reveal a card on the table: Choose a card from the grid and flip it face-up.
The player continues revealing cards until:
A) They reveal 3 cards of the same value, or
B) They reveal a card whose value doesn't match those shown so far.
If A), they succeed the challenge and take the cards, placing them as a set in front of them.
If B), they fail the challenge: revealed cards from players' hands are returned to them, and revealed cards in the grid are flipped back face-down.
Then the next player takes their turn.
Christmas Variant
If a player completes a set of 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10, all players say "Merry Christmas" and pass their hand to the player on their left.
Winning
The game ends when a player wins by achieving one of the following:
- Collects 3 sets.
- Collects 2 sets with numbers that, when added or subtracted, equal 7.
- Collects a set of 7s.
