Components
- 4 vagrant tiles (with a common back side and different front sides)
- 1 Wandering Preacher tile
Setup
Set up My Village as usual, then place the Wandering Preacher tile below the main board. Shuffle the 4 vagrant tiles and deal 1 tile to each player face down. Each player places his tile face up below his village board. Return the remaining tiles to the box.
Rules
Vagrant tiles: A player may use his vagrant's ability exactly once during any of his own turns. Once he has done so, he must turn the tile over to its back side, showing that the tile is inactive.
- Bath Attendant: If you choose one or two black dice when determining the value of your pennant, you may choose not to pay time units.
- Peddler: When you activate a pennant, you may immediately gain 1 good of your choice by returning 1 coin.
- Juggler: Re-roll all dice in the available dice reserve. (Dice that have already been removed from it are excluded.)
- Fortune Teller: Pay 2 time units to gain 2 coins immediately. These coins cannot be kept in your money hut and must be spent during this turn.
Each time any player activates the black banner on the first-player token, all players must immediately pass their vagrant tiles to the player on their right, whether or not the tile was used. Then all tiles are turned face up again, and may be used by their new owners once per their own turn as usual.
Wandering Preacher tile: Each time a villager dies, the player who owned that villager takes the Wandering Preacher tile (including all story points on it) and places it below his village board. Then he adds 1 story point from the supply to it.
When a player activates his black "?" pennant and moves his village headman back to the main house, and if the Wandering Preacher tile is below his own village board (and only then), then in addition to the story points from his story tree, he may place all story points from the Wandering Preacher tile into his main house.
