Goal of the Game
Each player tries to identify the murderer from 8 suspects. The player who scores the most points wins the game.
Contents of the Box
- Game board
- 4 pawns
- 4 card holders (kaartrekjes)
- 15 murder stories. Each murder story consists of 27 cards:
- 1 doctor card
- 8 suspect cards
- 10 hotel room cards
- 6 personnel cards
- 2 super tip cards (superaanwijzingen)
- 6 accomplice cards
- 1 victim card
- 4 x 3 voting markers (stemfiches)
- Notepad
Game Material and Preparation
Choose a murder case. The murder cases are numbered 1 to 15. It is best to play them in order. Each murder case is played with its own set of 27 playing cards. Be careful not to look at the contents of the cards. They must remain strictly secret!
Lay out all the game material exactly as shown in Figure 1. Place the playing cards of the personnel, the suspects and the rooms of the hotel face down around the game board, next to the matching symbol and number. Place the super tips face down on their designated space. Shuffle the accomplice cards and stack them face down on the accomplice space. Keep the doctor card and the victim card apart.
Each player chooses a colour, places the pawn of that colour on the start, and places the card holder and the voting markers of that colour in front of them. Assemble the card holder as shown in Figure 2. Place the victim card next to the game board. Later in the rules it is explained how the card is used.
Each player takes a notepad and a pen or pencil. Cut or tear out 3 small voting slips of about 3 x 3 cm for each player. On the notepad, write down all the names of the playing cards together with their number and card type. Look at Figure 1 again to see how the game board and the playing cards are arranged.
(Figure 1: layout of the game board and cards. Figure 2: assembling the card holder.)
How to Win
The player who scores the most points wins the game. There are two ways to score points:
- By naming the culprit.
- By collecting important evidence.
1. Naming the culprit
You name the culprit by voting three times for one of the suspects. Every vote for the culprit scores points.
2. Collecting evidence
The playing cards of the suspects, the hotel and the personnel make up the evidence. All these cards contain information with which you can solve the murder case. If a card is important for unmasking the murderer, it is worth more than another card.
The point value of all evidence varies between zero and three points, and is strictly secret. It is only revealed after the reconstruction at the end of the game. Every detective therefore has the heavy task of estimating the value of the information on the evidence.
During the point count, each player may hold at most three cards with evidence. Make sure you hold your most valuable cards.
How to Lose
During the game, one of the players may become the accomplice of the murderer. The accomplice wins if, during the point count, they hold the evidence cards with the highest point value. Even if the other players correctly name the culprit, the accomplice goes free through lack of evidence. Ah, the work of a real sleuth is full of frustrations.
How to Unmask the Murderer
By carefully analysing and combining the information from all the evidence, you can work out who the culprit is. The two super tips give some extra very useful information. Make careful notes on your notepad, as a real detective would. Keep your notes secret from your fellow players.
You always begin the game by first reading the doctor card. The clues on it put you on the trail. Then decide for yourself which suspect or witness you want to interrogate. You may also decide for yourself which evidence you want to investigate further.
Start of the Game
The youngest detective may begin. First read the doctor card aloud and then place it face up on the game board. Place the victim card on the spot in the hotel that the doctor indicates, if any. Each player may always read the doctor card and make notes from it.
Your Turn
Always choose one of the actions first. You pay for an action by first moving your pawn a number of steps. After that, carry out the chosen action.
You may vote once, either at the start or at the end of your turn.
The Different Types of Actions
Action - Take a card (costs 1 step): Move your pawn 1 step further along the path. Take one of the playing cards lying around the game board. This card may be a card of a suspect, of the hotel or of a member of the personnel. First read the card yourself and choose whether to place it face up or face down on your card holder. If you place a card face up (so that it is visible to the other players), you read the card aloud first. Afterwards the other players may also read the information and make notes if they wish. If you place the card face down, you keep its contents secret from the others.
Tip: You can place evidence that you estimate is not so important face down on the back of your card holder. This misleads the other players.
You may hold at most 2 cards face up and 1 card face down. The other position on the back is reserved for the accomplice card that comes later in the game. If your card holder is full and you take a new card, you must first return a card from your card holder. Place this card closed back on its position next to the game board. During your turn you may move cards from the front to the back of your card holder, and vice versa, as you see fit.
Tip: Make notes at once when a player places a card on the front of their card holder. Later in the game the card may be closed again and returned.
Action - View a card (costs 3 steps): Move your pawn 3 steps further and choose a player. Ask this player for the card (not an accomplice card) that lies face down on their card holder. Read the card and make notes. Make sure the information on this card stays secret from the other players. When you are done, give the card back. If you choose a player who has no card, you are out of luck and your turn is over.
Action - Exchange a card (costs 5 steps): Move your pawn 5 steps further and choose a player. Ask this player for a card (face up or face down) and swap it for one of your own cards. You may not exchange an accomplice card.
Action - Pass (0 steps): You may only pass after you have voted 3 times. When you pass, you stop actively playing. After you have passed, the other players may still view your cards (with the action "view a card" - 3 steps), but they may no longer exchange cards with you.
Super tips
If your pawn ends on the super tip space, or passes it (Figure 4), you take the corresponding super tip in addition to your planned action. Keep the contents of the super tip secret from the other players. Read the super tip and make notes from it. Afterwards you must place the super tip back on the game board closed. The last player who reads a super tip may place it face up on the game board.
Tip: If you are the first to read the super tip, you have an information advantage over your fellow players.
The accomplice
If your pawn ends on the accomplice space, or passes it (Figure 5), you take the top accomplice card in addition to your planned action. Place it closed on the back of your card holder so that others cannot see its contents. There are 6 accomplice cards, of which only one indicates that that player is the accomplice. It is therefore possible that none of the players is the accomplice.
If the accomplice is in the game, they win the game if they hold the highest point value in evidence during the point count.
Tip: To mislead the other players, the accomplice will still vote.
You cannot vote if you end on an accomplice space, because there is no voting space there.
Voting
Before or after you take an action, you may vote once. Take a voting marker and place it on the voting space next to your pawn (Figure 3). Take one of the three voting slips you cut out. On it write your name, your 1st, 2nd or 3rd vote, and the suspect you think is the murderer. Keep your choice secret from the other players during the rest of the game, and place the slip on the intermediate plate of your card holder. The point value of a correct vote is determined by the number shown in the voting space.
If you cast a second or third vote, place another voting marker on the voting space next to your pawn, fill in your second or third slip, and also place it under your card holder. You may stack your voting marker on top of that of another player. You may not vote if your pawn is on the super tip or accomplice spaces.
Tip: Weigh carefully whether you want to vote early in the game. This may earn more points, but you still have little information. Also do not wait too long to vote. At the end you can still score only 1 point with a vote.
(Figure 3: voting marker on the voting space.)
Ending the Game
The game stops immediately when a pawn of one of the players reaches the finish. Now the point count follows.
You do not have to land exactly on the finish with your pawn. For example, if you stand 2 steps before the finish, you may simply choose the actions: view a card (3 steps) or exchange a card (5 steps).
Tip: By going to the finish quickly, you give the other players less time to gather information and to vote.
The Point Count
Determine the final score using the following steps:
-
Read the reconstruction: In the rulebook, the reconstructions are printed at the back. Read the reconstruction of this murder case aloud.
-
Count the votes: The players open their voting slips and read out who they voted for. Start at the finish and go back toward the start. The voting space shows how many points a vote for the culprit earns. Only a vote for the culprit scores points, of course. Each player records the points scored.
-
Count the evidence: After the reconstruction, the rulebook states how many points each piece of evidence is worth. The players look at how much the cards on their card holder are worth and record the score.
-
Determine the winner: The accomplice now reveals themselves. If they have scored the most points in evidence, they win. But if this is not the case, or there is no accomplice, the highest total score in votes and evidence determines the winner. In a tie, the player who cast a vote first wins.
(Figure 4: super tip space. Figure 5: accomplice space.)
Reconstructions
The printed manual's "Reconstructies" section, one reconstruction per murder case. Each reconstruction is read aloud during the point count and gives the point values of the evidence for that case.
1. An Explosive Night (Een explosieve nacht)
Dave Backham once drove an American named Ryder to suicide. Ryder's daughter brooded on revenge. For years she waited for the right opportunity, and it presented itself at the Chess Ladies' Reunion at the Greenrock Village Hotel. She passed herself off as the wealthy Russian Olga Raspoetin and booked rooms for herself and her maid Tina, who passed as the Russian Martina. She knew that Vicky Backham would not travel without her husband Dave. She also knew that Dave, confronted with the Fascher-Spissky position, would make the only correct move.
She fabricated an explosive that would go off the moment one particular square on the chessboard, the square of the correct move, was touched. She installed it around half past two at night in the Greenrock Room. At three o'clock she walked from the King's Suite to the kitchen and phoned the Backhams from there, to lure Dave to the Greenrock Room. She knew that the suspicious Vicky would answer the phone and would later testify that she had heard a normal, that is accentless, voice. Everything went to plan. Dave walked to the Greenrock Room and blew himself up. Only... Miss Ryder did not realise that the R of Raspoetin is written with a P in Russian. The elegant R on her suitcases became her downfall.

2. No Fish Today (Vandaag geen vis)
No wonder the police have been unable to find the murder weapon. It is comfortably digesting in the bellies of the cooks. It was the chicken. One chicken, to be precise. A rock-hard frozen chicken, brand Coldchicks (We freeze 'm fresher!). Its plastic packaging ended up, together with three others, in the kitchen bin.
The poor fish cook came rushing into the kitchen absent-mindedly, just as the chicken cook was about to put his last frozen hen in the microwave to defrost. Caught! The chicken cook already saw the headlines before him: "Galliano: ice-cold is best"; "Galliano defrosts three stars at once". Goodbye reputation, goodbye princely salary, goodbye lovely women who surrounded him like broody hens. In blind panic he beat the fish cook's brains in with the chicken. After that, an icy composure took hold of him. He rinsed the chicken and put it in the microwave. He laid the fish cook in the freezer, mopped up the blood, took a clean cook's uniform out of the cupboard and put it on. The microwave bell rang: the chicken was defrosted, just like the three chickens earlier that afternoon.
Unperturbed, Galliano prepared his four stuffed chickens. When he was done, he checked that the coast was clear, slipped with his blood-stained clothes to the laundrette and set a machine to a super-intensive hot wash. Not a cock crowed...

3. A Very Extreme Makeover (Een wel heel extreme makeover)
Teri Blair, who in reality is called Toni Brown, wanted only one thing in her life: children. Many children. Unfortunately she was infertile. One day her morbid desire for children became too much for her. Under the mother's eyes she snatched a pair of twins from a pram and ran out of the shop with them. She was not convicted, but all the adoption agencies put her on the blacklist.
Her desire for children became an obsession. She changed her name, put on a blonde wig and glasses, and adopted six African children. But she wanted to go through life without wig and glasses and without being recognised as the twin thief. She could not afford a plastic surgeon. When she heard about the mother contest, with a free makeover as the main prize, she signed up at once.
To her great alarm, one of her rivals turned out to be Angela Murckle, the mother of the stolen twins. Fortunately she did not recognise her, until Angela's bracelet caught on Teri's wig and her short brown hair came out. From that moment on she was consumed by fear: fear that Angela would reveal everything and she would have to give up her adopted children.
She lured Angela with a note to the laundrette, strangled her and stuffed her into a washing machine. Only once Angela was already spinning round and round behind the glass did she notice that one of her pumps had ended up in the machine. She walked to the Greenrock Room, threw her other pump into the fire and went to put on new shoes. Then she reported back to the bar.

4. No Film Role for Norma Jeane (Geen filmrol voor Norma Jeane)
Jim Dougherty, the husband of Marilyn 1, had a problem. She became more and more unhinged, just like the real Marilyn Monroe. She drank too much, used sleeping pills and imagined she was having an affair with the President of the United States. When Jim went to see how she was shortly after eleven o'clock, she turned out to be dead. On the bedside table stood an empty pot of sleeping pills. She had committed suicide in the same way as the real Marilyn Monroe. A line through Jim's account! Goodbye lucrative film role! And what about the life insurance, by the way? Did that pay out in the case of suicide? He immediately phoned his secretary, who faxed him the policy terms of the life insurance company: no payout for suicide.
Jim acted quickly. He struck the head of the dead Marilyn with an ashtray, ran unseen to the kitchen for a knife and planted it in her chest. Then he took Betty's bishop (loper, a chess piece) from her apron in the broom cupboard. He had happened to have a chat with Betty that afternoon, when she was stowing her cleaning things there. Jim went through the rooms: he took a lock of hair from the brush of Marilyn 2 (where he was caught by her husband), picked up an earring from the bedside table of Marilyn 3 and grabbed a pair of gloves from the bed of Marilyn 4. He made sure all the "evidence" ended up in the right places, and put the empty pill pot and the bishop in his jacket pocket. Of course he made sure he left no fingerprints anywhere.
Back in the bar he cheerfully mixed cocktails behind the bar counter, and unnoticed slipped the pill pot and the bishop into the waste bin. He then went to his room and "discovered" his "murdered" wife there.

5. A Big Bad Wolf (Een grote boze wolf)
How infatuated he was, guitarist Rick. Nora swore to him that he was the only one, but then he caught her with Robert. He immediately understood that she was just as loose as she used to be, and could not bear her betrayal. When he heard Nora say at reception that she was going to take a bath at five o'clock, Rick quickly had his plan ready.
He stole Frank's mobile phone, which always lay on the bar counter, slipped into the kitchen, took three cans of drain cleaner and emptied the spaghetti jar into the rubbish bin. He filled the jar with the drain cleaner and put it in the cupboard next to Nora's bath. She could easily reach the jar while she was sitting in the bath. During the Wolves' rehearsal session he sent Nora his murder text message, and she responded as he had wished.
His plan seemed watertight, but that day he forgot to switch on his own mobile phone. That is how he betrayed that he had used someone else's: Frank's mobile phone.

6. Off With Coco, Off! (Af, Coco, af!)
Orson Welsh had a dog's life. Ten years ago he had been paralysed in a serious car accident. He learned to live with his handicap, but could not get over the fact that his first wife and their little daughter had lost their lives. His resentment towards the unknown road pirate who had done this to him, in his silver-grey Bentley, grew and grew. His bodyguard and detective tracked down the identity of the driver: Ben Leet. When the bodyguard discovered that Leet had booked a week at the Greenrock Village Hotel, Orson Welsh soon had his plan ready.
He programmed his computer so that, on a certain command from him, it would call Ben Leet's mobile phone and pass on an automated message: "Rosebud... rosebud... rosebud." He trained Coco so that she would bite to death any person who spoke that word. (He naturally chose a word that is rarely or never spoken.) He made sure that his physiotherapist and little Billy Gates were in his room at the time of the murder and would notice nothing suspicious.
Orson Welsh goes into an adapted cell, and Coco does not need to be put down. She does have to be de-programmed, because imagine her walking through the park with her new disabled owner and he suddenly says: "Look, Coco, what a lovely rosebud...."

7. Hot off the Needle (Heet van de naald)
Bill really thought he had a chance with Bob. He loved his wife Viola very much, but his true love went out to Bob. For years the sadistic Bob toyed with his feelings. Until a few weeks before the fatal weekend at the Greenrock Village Hotel. Bob had mapped out a golden future for himself. He would run off with Buster's wife Carola and make a splash with the Glo-Tattoo, whose secret Carola had passed on to him. And because an extra income always comes in handy, he dealt Bill the death blow: he sent him a letter in which he threatened to make everything known if Bill did not pay him. Blackmail!
Bill had no money and saw no other way out than to kill Bob. He had a few weeks to devise his plan. From a shady dealer on the internet he ordered the lethal injection, which was sent to him by post. On the Saturday of the Tattoo Show, at twelve o'clock at night, he left the bar and crept into the room of the sleeping Bob, who at Ramona's request had left the door unlocked. Thanks to Ramona he did not have to make any effort to steal the couple's room key. He injected the poison into Bob's buttock, found his love letters in the bedside table, tore them out of the ring binder and burned them in the fireplace of the Greenrock Room.

8. Speed Dating (Speeddaten)
Do you also sometimes hear voices in the dark?
Carla Ricci is a freelance journalist. The Greenrock Chronicle has commissioned her to write a report on the currently so popular speed dating. She decides to sign up anonymously for the speed-dating session at the Greenrock Hotel.
Her boyfriend, Tom Mulligan, has turned out to be rather jealous, and she decides to keep it from him. Tom signs up as the fifth man under a different name. It is clear that he is the murderer. The question is therefore: "Who is Tom Mulligan?"
The ladies all sing in the Happy Voices and can judge men's voices at their true worth.
The victim is found by her visitor in the fifth round; we are therefore looking for the visitor in the fourth round. The police lab indicates that it concerns two basses, two tenors and a baritone. Lady 1 (Lisa Yates) and lady 2 (Carla Duarte) had a bass visitor in that fourth round. Lady number 3 (Raquel Kent) met a baritone. John Mitchell was in the bar and, according to the police lab, has a tenor voice.
Then there is only one tenor left.
Tom Mulligan, alias Robert Keane, discovered that his girlfriend had signed up for the speed dating. Jealousy drove him to this crime of passion.
Thanks to your detective instinct, he will certainly have to sing a lower tune for the first few years.

9. 10% Knock Out
Well, if you are the chairman of an association and want to introduce an extra levy for the members, do not sit in a remote hotel with all of them together; you are not safe there. For Alfredo Ganociano this tip comes too late. Unsuspecting, he walks into room 184 to come into serious contact with a candlestick. On a stool stands a small boxer statuette.... Because boxers are so clearly divided into weight classes, and the stool (or rather the little side table) can be measured accurately, cross five suspects off. The women and welterweight Sylvester Gallone are too heavy. The sixth is Bert Meulensteen, who evidently has set his eye on the 70 kilos of the married Nicole Duchamps despite his 52 kg. Number 7 weighs 55 kg, a featherweight, and knows a lot about the boxers' uprising. That is then Gianni Feltrinelli. Who do we have left? He must have eaten during the first "shift". His wife does not give him an alibi, because she is out shopping and reading. Exactly! William Gray laid hands on his chairman. Thanks to your detective instinct, William will be knocked out of the ring for now.

10. Checkmate (Schaakmat)
What is the standing after the second round? If we know that, we can establish who played whom in the third round. The opponent of Duncan Porter is the murderer.
The standings after round 1 hang in the restaurant, and the results of round 2 you can find in the corridor. The printed results are:
| Player | Points | Player | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paul Corphy | 6 | Wesley Briggs | 3 |
| Naomi Ning | 6 | Carly Knox | 1 |
| Duncan Porter | 4 | Luca Zanetti | 1 |
| Sally Ashcroft | 3 | Patti Bates | 0 |
So in that third round the victim played against Sally Ashcroft. Sally Ashcroft could not forget her love and shot him. She then threw the pistol into the waste bin in the restaurant.

11. Symposium Popham Pills (Symposium Popham Pillen)
Dr. Coppijn is not held in very high regard in medical circles. He boasts of the results of other people's research and is a self-satisfied tyrant who is only concerned with pushing himself into the spotlight.
Dr. Adams has had enough of her subordinate position with her boss, Dr. Coppijn. She indeed gives him a dose of Rapilax to make him ill for a while, so that she gets the chance to present her bone-fixation project. But she is not the murderer.
Without her or Dr. Coppijn knowing, Dr. Snijder has worked on exactly the same subject and has written a scientific publication about it entitled "Skeletreconstructie" (Skeleton Reconstruction). When Dr. Snijder hears from Professor Pokkendaal that Dr. Coppijn will give a presentation on the same subject, he approaches Dr. Coppijn and asks him to become co-author of the publication. Dr. Coppijn brushes him off in a rude way, but meanwhile begins to feel the effect of the Rapilax and breaks off the conversation abruptly, saying that he wants to go to his room.
Dr. Snijder is afraid that his work will be swept off the table, and goes to Mr. Brands to ask whether the order of the afternoon programme can be changed so that he can give his presentation first. If Mr. Brands does not agree to this, he thinks his last chance is to talk to Dr. Coppijn once more. Dr. Snijder goes to Dr. Coppijn's room to try to win him over, but Dr. Coppijn, who is in a bad way because of the Rapilax, pays him no attention at all. In a surge of anger, Dr. Snijder takes the first thing he can grab, which happens to be a "fixed" bone for Dr. Coppijn's presentation, and strikes him on the head with it.
After the fatal blow, Dr. Snijder wipes the "fixed" bone with the sleeve of Dr. Coppijn's shirt and leaves it lying next to the body. On leaving the room, Dr. Snijder uses the keycard to lock the door, wipes it carefully clean and slides it under the door, vainly hoping that the body will only be discovered much later.
Since all the other doctors have an alibi for the time between 13.00 and 14.00 hours, Dr. Snijder therefore had both the opportunity to commit the murder and the motive for it.

12. A True Greek Tragedy (Een ware Griekse tragedie)
This is truly a Greek tragedy, with lost loves and much misfortune. Helena (Aphrodite) is our murderess. Listen to her sorrowful history.
During their student days Helena and Jason were a couple. But on the evening that Jason receives the Innovation Prize, Penelope runs off with him. Very selfishly she sets out to stand beside him in the spotlight and share in the luxurious future he has in store. Time passes, and Helena tries to get over her grief by starting a new relationship with Victor.
When Helena sees at the reunion that Penelope is flirting with Victor, she is afraid that history will repeat itself. She can no longer control herself. The gods are favourably disposed towards her and let it storm so hard that the hall goes dark. Helena seizes her chance: she takes a dagger from the nearest statue and stabs her intended victim, Penelope. Through a tragic twist of fate, Helena does not see in the darkness that it is her dear Jason whom she is stabbing to death.
If you study the descriptions of the golden masks given by the witnesses carefully, you will see that Helena is the only suspect. In order not to load all the suspicion onto herself at once, she did have to describe her own mask in her statement.

13. A Race Run Dry (Een gelopen race)
You might think that Herry Hart is the murderer, because of the struggle for the title of "jockey champion". At the moment of Daisy's death, however, he stood in fourth place in the standings, and it was not very likely that he would win the whole Camel Cup. Even if he were to win all the points he could possibly get, at most he could have shared the title with Daisy. Anyway, as Willie already said, he would want to win the title honestly, by himself.
Mo Zaïk also seems a logical candidate, because he rides for the same stable as Daisy. He was very optimistic and convinced that his time had come. He had even had an extra shirt washed for that occasion. He was known for his boasting, and with Zandstorm he would never have achieved victory.
When the ranking for the bets was determined at the moment of Daisy's death, the two camels of Khayyam, Dubbelbult at 9-4 and Oase at 5-2, were in second and third place. Without Daisy's special camel talent, Zandstorm would no longer play any significant role. Money wolf Ben Bekaf would certainly collect the prize money, and his stable Khayyam would suddenly stand at the top of the trainers' ranking. Had Zandstorm taken part, stable Snellers would have beaten him by a nose-length!
Ben Bekaf gave Daisy Darling an injection of CalmusDromedarius when they were waiting next to the podium. Unfortunately she assumed that Ben Bekaf was pinching her buttocks again! Because that was one of his unsavoury habits, nobody paid any further attention to it. Old-fashioned as he was, he thought it an excellent idea that from now on there would be one woman fewer in this sport.

14. Speed Demon (Snelheidsduivel)
Not all TV personalities are popular. It seemed as if Dicky Diamant made a habit of rubbing people up the wrong way. Almost everyone at Wild Wheels would gladly see him leave, co-presenter Tony Marcello most of all.
Tony thought he was completely ready for the role of main presenter. He always tried to draw all the attention and push Dicky into the background. In the acceleration test he saw a chance to put himself in the spotlight even more. Tony had discovered that he could beat Dicky's Xumo Vector if he fitted other tyres to his own Qwick Kick. So the standard Nops tyres were swapped for the much better Zipp tyres.
Tony's car could reach the critical speed for a fatal collision with its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. From the tyre profiles in the police database it appears that the car that struck Dicky did indeed have Zipp tyres. Although it seems that Amber is involved in the case, she is not guilty. She only helped Tony change his tyres for the prank he wanted to play.
When Tony returned to the hotel in his Qwick Kick, he saw Dicky walking back from the car park. Suddenly the speed devil took hold of him, took over the steering wheel, gave extra gas and helped Tony's arch-rival to the scrapheap of the afterlife!

15. A Horse in the Corridor (Een paard in de gang)
Look, the waiter and the cook: that is useful. They name man and horse, so that at least you know who goes with whom. Next, it is handy to know that we are looking for the riders of a brown or a white horse, as the manager tells us. Jockey 4 has a brown horse, but he insists on his innocence by pointing out that Planet Terror is also brown and Jolly Jumper is white. The rest therefore drop out. And Jolly Jumper also drops out, because it did not have the right colour start, and its boss is, according to security, not in possession of a weapon. On the other hand, no less a person than Martin Chesswood enters as a suspect. The owner of the victim has a motive, because Death Proof was terminally ill and he would collect more insurance money in the case of an unnatural death. Yet he is innocent, since the cleaner in the King's Suite testifies that he came out of the toilet room just after the shot. The receipt in the lounge shows that jockey 4 has an alibi: steaming in the sauna. What remains is the extremely jealous jockey 7 with Blind Terror. By the way, his name is Adam Curry, and he was once a disc jockey too.
