Rules (4 to 9 Players)
Form teams of 2/3 players + shuffle the cards and form a draw pile.
Turn Sequence
Teams each play in turn, clockwise.
-
The team whose player looks the most like a shepherd begins.
-
The next team draws a card and reads one theme aloud.
Lequel Michel ? After drawing, if the symbol on the card now on top of the draw pile is a star, read the statement on the card you have just drawn.
- The players of the Shepherd's team think in silence of an answer. Once ready, they count "1, 2, 3" and all answer* at the same time!
* If one team is larger (e.g. 3 against 2), it excludes one of its players just before answering.
If their answers are different
They lose! The card is removed from the game, and the turn passes to the other team.
If everyone says exactly the same answer
The team may:
- Cash in this card, and hand over to the opposing team.
- Or try one more card. But if it fails, it loses all the cards won during this turn.
End of the Game
The first team to 7 points wins!
The Cards
Sheep card = The harder a card is, the more points it is worth (1, 2 or 3 points).
Lightning card = 1 point. Answer rapid-fire to 4 themes in a row, without the "1, 2, 3" countdown. Chain the 4 themes without a mistake to win the card. And above all: articulate clearly!
Clarifications
Sacrifice = Joker
If a team sacrifices one of its already cashed-in cards, one of its players may announce the first letter of the word they are about to say.
Manipulation is forbidden on dilemmas or numerical questions.
La Parloteuuh!
Article 1 of the sheep code: There is a certain tolerance for chatter between teammates, but saying too much will never be tolerated.
Tolerated examples: saying "Easy", "Empty your head", "Sheep mode", ...
VAR!
You may film the lightning cards to spot cheaters.
Variant "de la Muerte"
Play by letting the opposing team choose the theme from among those on the card.
Playing with 3 Players
One player is the Shepherd. He reads a theme to the 2 other players.
- If they give different answers, their turn ends. The player to the Shepherd's left becomes the Shepherd.
- If they give the same answer, the Shepherd takes the card as a penalty. The 2 players may:
- stop: the Shepherd takes the penalty and the turn ends.
- try another card to add a penalty to the Shepherd. But if they fail, the turn ends and the Shepherd takes no penalty.
The first player to reach 5 penalties loses and the other 2 are declared winners.
