FAQ
Update
The Town Hall and the Father Christmas Toy Factory (the promo card included in this box) are not monuments but starting establishments. For that reason they do not count as monuments; for example, for the Grocery card from the Green Valley expansion.
Playing with 5 or 6 players, we strongly recommend using the optional Marina rule with the establishment piles, but using 12 piles instead of 10.
MGA 5-6 Player Variant
In a 5 or 6 player game, the blue and red establishments are a little too strong, so we strongly recommend using the variant proposed by MGA.
The principle of this variant is very simple:
- Green establishments: nothing changes.
- Blue establishments: receive income from the bank during your turn and during the turns of your two adjacent players.
- Red establishments: receive coins from the player who rolled the dice, but only if that player is one of your two adjacent players.
- Purple establishments: nothing changes, but as a result they become much more powerful, because their effects can target any player (leaving you more choice), or even target all five of your opponents (for example, the Stadium).
Promo Cards
The two promo cards are shown on the leaflet with their printed text. The text is reproduced below, translated from the French card face.
Father Christmas Toy Factory (Fabrique de jouets du Père Noël)
"Oh, oh, oh..."
Once per turn, if your dice roll is broken (cassé), receive 3 coins from the bank.
Translator's note: the leaflet uses the word "cassé" for the dice-roll condition and does not define it on the leaflet itself. It is kept as printed; check the physical card or the base Minivilles rules for its exact meaning.
MGA Game Center
During your turn only. Choose one of your establishments that is not of the type shown by the cross symbol, and activate its effect. Then close the MGA Game Center.
Translator's note: the type is shown on the card as a cross symbol (the same symbol as in the card's title badge), and the leaflet text does not name it in words. It is transcribed as the printed symbol; check the physical card for the exact type it refers to.
