Additional Quests
At the start of a new game, roll a die to determine which quest you will have to complete. Once the condition is fulfilled, gain 4 XP.
| Die | Quest |
|---|---|
| 1 | Kill 10 Monsters. |
| 2 | Spend 10 Gold at a single Merchant. |
| 3 | Fail 3 Traps. |
| 4 | Fall once (the Fall icon). |
| 5 | Make 4 successful Skill Checks. |
| 6 | Kill a Boss with a single roll. |
Die results 1 to 6 are shown on the beer mat as the numbers 1 to 6 in boxes; the quest icons are, respectively, a cross (monsters killed), a Gold coin, the number 3, the Fall icon, the Skill Check icon and the number 6 icon.
Notes on this transcription
- Quest 3 (Fail 3 Traps): The German side reads "Versage bei 3 Fallen" and the French side reads "Échouez à 3 Pièges", both meaning 3. The low-resolution English reference image appears to read "Fail 4 traps". The printed English side was not legible at a resolution that confirms this; the value 3 is used here because both printed non-English sides agree. If a higher-resolution English side reads 4, the English card is the one that differs.
- Quest 4 (Fall once): The German and French sides print only the Fall icon, with "Stürze einmal" and "Chutez" respectively (both meaning "fall once"). The English reference reads "Fall once into the pit". The Fall icon is the same one used in the base game (see Table of Resolutions in the Mini Rogue rulebook).
- Quest 6: The German "Töte einen Boss mit einem Wurf" and French "Tuez un Gardien d'un seul coup" are rendered as "Kill a Boss with a single roll" (the German Wurf means a throw; the French Gardien means guardian, and the English reference reads "One-shot a boss"). These are translations of the same quest.
- The XP reward is shown on the beer mat by the crossed-swords symbol, which is the XP symbol used in Mini Rogue.
