Setup and Game Play

"Metro-X" components (Indicator cards and pencils) together with the "Metro-X" additional map collection are needed.

First, all players decide which map will be used this time.

After that, follow all Preparation, Game Flow, End conditions and Scoring according to the "Metro-X" base game. However, some maps have additional rules.

Additional Rules

Route branch

The route of the subway network branches into multiple routes.

A branch mark is written near the branching station square, and it will branch into several routes. (The two branch marks are hand-drawn symbols in the source and are not legible at the scan's resolution; they are not reproduced here.)

If you write a circle or a number on a route with a branch mark, please decide for yourself which route you should use.

  • You may change the route for each Indicator Card drawn.

Diagram in the source: choose either route. It is okay to choose another route later should you decide to change.

Multiple endpoints

Some routes may have multiple endpoints due to route branching. "a" and "b" are written at the end point, and the route completion bonus exists for each "a" and "b" end point.

If all station squares from the start point to the end point "a" are filled, the player should declare that "X route is completed" and subsequently receives the route completion bonus.

Take note that the station squares on the other branching route "b" do not need to be filled. However, if that route is also filled, the player will receive the corresponding bonus as well.

Ring route

Some routes are circular and may not have an endpoint. As with other routes, if the station squares on that route are filled, the player receives the route completion bonus.
