Components

  • Game board (made up of three parts)
  • Colour die (Farbwürfel)
  • 12 pawns (3 each in blue, red, yellow and green)

Goal of the Game

Whoever rolls the right colours is the first to go around the track and bring their three pawns to the goal as winners.

Game Setup

  1. Assemble the game board from its three parts and place it in the middle of the table where everyone can reach it.
  2. Each player chooses a colour and places the pawns of that colour on the matching-coloured starting squares in the corners of the board.
  3. Whoever had a birthday most recently begins. After that, play continues clockwise.

Playing the Game

On your turn, roll the colour die.

  • As long as none of your pawns is on the track, you may roll up to three times.
  • If you roll your own colour, place one of your pawns on the first square of the track (the arrow square, Pfeilfeld).
  • As soon as one of your pawns is on the track, you may roll only once on your turn.

Note: If later in the game you no longer have a pawn on the track, you may again roll up to three times to move a pawn from its starting square to the arrow square.

The die determines how far you may move your pawns on each turn: always to the next square of the colour the die shows. If you have several pawns on the track, you may choose which pawn to move.

Additional Rules

  • You may jump over your own pawns and the pawns of other players at any time.
  • If your move ends on a square where another pawn is standing, that pawn is knocked out and placed back on its starting square.
  • Your own pawns cannot be knocked out.
  • When you reach the finish-entry square (Zieleinlauf-Feld) of your colour, which is the square in front of your goal squares, you may immediately move your pawn onto the last free of the three goal squares.
  • You may not move past the finish-entry square. That means you go around the track only once.
  • If you cannot carry out your roll with any of your pawns, the roll is forfeited and the next player takes their turn.

End of the Game

The first player to bring all three of their pawns into the goal wins the game.
