Game Idea

In each round, a card is revealed. A window frame of a certain size is shown on that card. The players' task is to place their own pawn as quickly as possible on the window of one of the 6 boards that has exactly the same size (same length and same width) as the window frame on the card.

Setup

The 6 boards are laid out face up on the table. The boards must not lie on top of one another, so that each individual window can be clearly seen (see the illustration on page 2).

Each player receives one pawn, which they place in front of themselves. Surplus pawns are not needed and are returned to the box.

One player is chosen as the game leader. The game leader shuffles all 35 cards, stacks them face down with the black-and-white back facing up, and holds the complete stack in one hand.

Note: The game leader takes part in the game as normal.

Example setup for five players:

  • Each player has one pawn.
  • The game leader (Udo) holds all the cards (back side up) as a stack in hand.

Gameplay

The game leader takes the bottom card of the stack, pulls it out, and places it on the table, clearly visible to all players, with the black-and-white back facing up, next to the six boards.

The task for all players is now to quickly place their own pawn on the window (on one of the 6 boards) that is exactly the same size (identical length and width) as the window frame on the card. There is no order; all players play at the same time.

Note: No more than 2 pawns may be placed on each window. As soon as 2 pawns stand on a window, that window may not be occupied by other pawns.

Note: When playing with two players, only one pawn may be placed on each window!

Once every player has placed their pawn on a window, the game leader turns the card lying on the table over to its front side.

Using the picture that now appears in the window of the card, the players can check which window on the 6 boards has the same size. There is only one window with the same picture on the 6 boards (and therefore only one window of the same size).

  • If no player has placed their pawn on the correct window, the card is removed from the table and put back into the box; it is not needed any further.
  • If a player has placed their pawn on the correct window, that player may take the card from the table as a prize. If two players have placed their pawns on the correct window, one of them takes the card from the table, and the other takes a card from the stack as a prize. Won cards are placed face down, with the black-and-white back facing up, in front of the player who won them.

Example: Klaus has placed his pawn (red) on the correct window. He receives the card from the table as his prize.

Once all players have taken their pawns back, the game leader again takes the bottom card of the stack, pulls it out, and places it face down on the table. Play continues round by round in the manner described above.

End of Game

The game ends as soon as the game leader's stack consists of only one (or no) card.

Each player counts their won cards. The player with the most cards is the winner.
